Don Hurst, Jr. at H&H Polishing in Charlotte, NC is the man to see if you need some aluminum shined up!!
I did most of the work in my garage, but I knew my parts could be a lot shinier, so I took them down to Charlotte, and the guys at H&H made them look just as good (if not BETTER THAN) chrome!!! I was 110% pleased ... and since I took most of the cast off at home and had my pieces semi-polished, they only charged me $5-$10 per piece for a "re-buff"! Nobody (I don't care how long you've been polsihing or how good you are) can do at home what the pros can do in their shop.
I can't wait to get my top end put back together and post some pics.
The best thing about the guys at H&H is that they still do small jobs for the little guy like myself. They mostly do high-production jobs for high-end clientele, but they told me that it was the little jobs that got their company off the ground, and for that reason they will never abandon the little jobs. Great guys.
I took a set of wheels to them about 4-5 years ago and unfortunately they couldn't help them due to them being anodized. Didn't change my opinion of them though, they do great work.
They are just off Wilkinson Blvd. Take Morris Field Dr. off of Wilkinson (it's on the left if you're coming from uptown; on the right if you're coming from the airport) and then take a right on Golf Acres Dr. They are at 4256 Golf Acres Dr. right beside Charlotte Hardwoods.
