Summit Racing

I just want to give a thumbs up to Summit Racing. I have had a number of dealings with them over the past few years and every experience has been a good one. This would include returned items to next day deliverys. They again saved my bacon this past week with an overnighter.

I had ordered over $1000 worth of stuff from them, came in 3 boxes from 3 different locations, all arrived on the 3rd day and everything was there. That was about 3 weeks ago. Biggest order ive ever placed with them and everything went flawless just like the small orders in the past. A+ from me.

Ordered my dad the SLP airbox lid for his ls1 car and it was late november last year and the guy said it might take a week or two because of the holiday season. 3 days later it was in along with a hat and shirt.

I agree over the years I've ordered many parts from them, they've always come through and usually have the lowest prices for most items.

Ha ha. My shipping is the fastest! I just go to the store in Tallmadge and pick stuff up. LOL!

But ya One thumb up. Only problem i have is i replaced another diff cover and the bolts again were too long. one they were too big 1 ton instead of 3/4 ton bolts. But all together not too bad. I still love em!

Re: Summit Racing

I'd order from them more if I didnt have to pay taxes.

The drive from here to Mcdonough where the Summit UberStore is costs as much in gas money as the shipping charges, and then I have to pay taxes on it either way... so I just buy from jegs.

I'd rather buy from Summit, but 6 or 7 percent sales tax on $500+ worth of stuff plus shipping adds up...

Re: Summit Racing

I ordered before 9pm on a wed. got my stuff on Friday afternoon.

Thumbs up to Summit, now they need to lower the cost of handling to 5 bucks
Since I get the majority of my performance parts from places that have free shipping and handling if you spend over 100 bucks, sometimes there is no min. limit.

I like them alittle better than Jegs because they seem to have a different selection suited to my type of cars and parts I am looking for.

Re: Summit Racing

handling needs to be lowered for cheaper orders and smaller parts i'd say. 10.95 or w/e it was for some lug nuts seems abit high but other than that, its great when you order 584 dollars of slicks/wheels and only ahve to pay 16 more dollars to ship them

I understand the $10 shipping is high for small parts, but Summit makes up for it in their service. I have ordered from them probably 20 times and have never, ever had a problem or slow shipping.

Re: Summit Racing

I'll also give summit a thumbs up. I only had one problem with them before, I was ordering -an fittings for braided hose and couldn't find em all on their website so I called and they transfered me to a tech guy to help me find the part #'s I needed, I needed a fitting to scale down my 8an fitting to connect to a 6an fitting on a hard line, basically a threaded piece with 8an threads on 1 end and 6an on the other, I told him that and he pretended to understand and I ended up getting an 8an to 3/8ths 90degree bend piece, they did correct the error though and paid return shipping.

Re: Summit Racing

I have spent more than a five thousand with Summit over more than a decade (how much for sure, I don't think I want to know) and have always had a good experience.

I wish I could say the same for Jegs. Things usually go right with Jegs, but once in a while... So I go with Summit whenever I can to make life just a tad easier.
