UPDATE: i switched the wires so the lights in the middle are the low beams. i am much more pleased with the dispersion..because less light is blocked by the headlght buckets. sorry forgot to take more pics
when in high beam mode it works just as great as normal
problem must have been with the cheap bulbs the kit came with. i put hids in the normal position and they work great.

Reason: Automerged Doublepost
City lights are a small bulb, similar to 194 bulbs, that are in the headlight housing. You can wire them up to the parking lights. Most people seem to put colored bulbs, that way, when you turn on the parking lights, your headlights look whatever color bulb you put in. When you turn the headlights on, the color is drowned out by the headlight bulbs.
Yeah, all 4 are supposed to be lite up on Hi beams. But if you read the post

Is everyone who bought these lights still happy with them? I am interested in them, but I have not seen them in person. Do they put off enough light at night and are they worth it? I really like the clean look.

I am very happy with mine and yes the light is much better.

yeah im about to order mine. the only thing i dont like about headlights like this is when they get moisture in them and get all foggy. has anyone had this problem yet?

They come with a rubber gasket that seal them pretty tight. I had my car through several car washes, storms and my daughter washing it (she is six) and no moisture at all..

alright so get this i hooked up those exact lights and am driving home and flip on my high beams and then my lights start freaking out blinking. wtf. whats the problem. friend of mine said it could be because my factory ground wire that is in the lights wireing harness is smaller than the new wires. he said to just add another ground. any ideas. let me know asap. thanks. right now i dont have my high beams hooked up. and they dont flash or anything they are fine when high beams arent hooked up.
I saw this on ebay for a long time.. i saw the whole no refund thing and got scared away for spending that much and risking not being satisified.. i'm also curious to see the pics.. i have silverstars on there right now and am pretty happy with them... but i wish they looked a little cleaner like these.. i'm a fan of the euro housing and the silverstars look like stock headlights only brighter.
Yep! IMHO, it's not wise to buy with policies like "no refund" specially when purchasing items from an online store like eBay (though I am not referring to all sellers with a stable credibility). I also want to see some pictures
I had the same problem, it is because they draw to much current for the factory wiring. Its not becasue of the product. Its because our cars werent made for the power these bulbs draw.
What I ended up doing was buying a real h4 harness that connects to the battery with relays. WIth this they are twice as bright and wont risk frying your cars wiring.
I do think the ebay seller should list that these might be to much for the cars wiring.

besides doing that is there anyway that i can fix the problem?
1982 - 1992, Detroit wasn't designing wiring based on the demands these light systems will put on our cars. IMO, it's like any other engine / trans / rear or suspension upgrade we might do; plan on upgrading the related components.
(sorry 'bout the "LOL" previous post, that should have gone to a different location).
If your looking for a simple "SWAP" with no mods get a set of Silverstar headlights....... if your looking for the clear/clean look then take the time, spend the money, and do it right the 1st time and you wont be dissapointed.
Just got this kit in the mail tuesday and got it installed wednesday. Very nice quality and looks alsome. The install was a snap and only took an hour.
Now my problem, after getting everything installed and turned on I noticed that on low beams all my lights are on. The two outside ones are on pretty good then both the centers are barley lit. Now when i turn the hi beams on ive got one headlight thats real bright and three lights that are really dim.
Do you guys think this h4 conversion would help? is this one the correct one I need, and would I need anything else?
Yes that harness will solve the problem. The pins arent set up correctly on the adaptor, you can set them right using the chart above but I did that and still had a flickering issue due to the circuit being overloaded.
I got the matrix harness you showed and that fixed everything, just make sure you plug in the right part for lows and highs or it will put your lows where your highs are supposed to be, i had to flip it back around.
I used the adapters that came with the kit, so they should have my pins in the correct spot right?
I noticed on my low beam outside light on the driverside that the green wire(power?) Seems to have been damaged and is somewhat corroded and a couple broken wires.
Would that kit I posted work? Would I have to add anything if I bought it?
intresting. I read the whole thread but maybe I missed it..does anyone have a link to the clear parking lights? same guy? also anyone know if he sells sidemarkers also? one last thing. I tried searching summit and didn't find the harness? anyone got a link?
Those adaptors it came with should of work, but they arent set up right. when I got mine the pins werent correctly set up either, I set them the right way using the chart he posted and then the low beams worked right, but the highbeams would start flickering becausue of the circuit overload.
I messed with it a lot, I ended up using the matrix harness, its cheap enough and then that way you know your not overloading your stock wiring and the ligths will even be brighter becasue they run straigh from the battery.
