I'm looking for a hurst dual gate shifter that fits in our consols but I've searched and searched and can't find them anywhere. Anyone know where you can get them?

They don't make them anymore.
I was lucky enough to get one, when they still made them.
I took it out last week for a 6-speed, but being as it's rare I doubt I'd sell it for anything less then a large sum.
hawksthirdgen was the last place to sell it for I think $300 back in September 2007. I remember contacting summit about theirs for $160 and they said they discontinued it that day. Oh boy was I mad. Ended up buying mine for only 175 + shipping though from a member here. They are very annoying to install though. Takes a lot of time because Hurst normally only makes three speed shifters and that extra gear for overdrive is so annoying to get it just right. I like it a lot. I don't use the dual gate function too much though. Never have space for it around my area. I don't know if all that shifting is very good either. Maybe it's fine I just prefer to not use it every day. It's the only shifter I wanted though so I hunted one down for a while. Just post in the wanted section. Make sure when you get it from somebody it has everything. Cable, bracket, screws, and shifter plate. Mine came with he instructions so I got lucky with that.
They didn't even come with the cable or all the screws needed originally.
They were high 2 hundred range when new, summit never sold it for $160.
$260 maybe.
With them not being made anymore I can see them being one of those big money items in the future.
They are also going to be one of those items in the next decade eveyone forgets was made, then someone will see a random pic of one and start the whole what is this over and over again.
Summit had them for $160 when they were selling them all off to clear the sku # out of their inventory. thye were normally $239.99 when they were still able to order more. They came with everything needed to install (all the bolts, shifter cable, shifter, small crappy shifter ball, instructions, warranty card) I thought it was really easy to install just use the parking brake and install in N instead of park otherwise the tranny would be off.
I bought one late last year and I think I got the last new one in the country. Got it from gofastparts.com. Check with them or call or e-mail Hurst and tell them they need to reissue this shifter. Get enough people to inquire about it and who knows, they might make some more?
I'd rather gave the hurst then the B&M consol shifter, I think the hurst looks like a nice factory shifter, the B&M looks aftermarket. Theres a video on youtube of a guy who has an iroc with the hurst dual gate.
Yeah thats why I got it too. It has a real nice factory look. Thanks for setting things straight jstoltz. Yeah I watched that video when I wanted mine too. I was as desperate as you to find one that I wanted to see what it looked like on youtube.
Actually, what was REALLY cool, looked better, worked better, and was easier to install was the Hurst Console Quarter Stick for 4-speed auto thirdgens. A buddy of mine had one in his '84 Z-28 several years back. It was discontinued in '98 I think. I looked for one in '99 and even talked to several people at Hurst about building one or locating one. They were of no help at all! I ended up using a console mega-shifter for less than a year until I said screw it and converted to a six-speed. I may have kept the auto if I would have found a Console Quarter-Stick.....

but what im saying is, why take a very popular item off the market no matter who owns it? they could call it the b&m shifter, who cares i just wanted one, but now i got 5 speed car.
