I ordered some A/C parts from them a couple months ago and I don't remember gettin' pissed off, so I'm pretty sure they went out in very timely manner. Cause I do remember really needing those parts and if they were delayed, I would have remembered that. So far a two thumbs up for them in my book. Don't forget their discount codes up on the stickys portion of this section.
i want to say i ordered something from them but i cant remember what it was....maybe a power window motor? but if i did i didnt have any problems shipping was fast like most places i order from

Very fast! I live in Canada and the starter I ordered was here in less then a week. Of course they shipped it via UPS when I asked them to ship it USPS but thats another issue... lol
It depends entirely on what warehouse the particular part ships out of. Rock Auto is part of some big wholesale distribution company that has warehouses all over the country. I ordered a couple gas tanks for my truck last year and I had them within a couple days... they shipped from a warehouse that was only an hour and a half from my house. This year I ordered brake parts for my Corvette and it took forever. Some of the parts showed up in a few days, but other parts shipped from a warehouse on the west coast and took a while to get here. It also turned out that some of the brake parts were out of stock when I ordered, so I had to wait for them to receive more. The part that bugs me is that their website doesn't tell you if the product is actually in stock or not, so it's really a big of a gamble. I ordered from them instead of buying local because the local place was out of stock and couldn't get them for a week. Instead I ordered from Rock Auto and waited even longer.
It's hit or miss, but overall I'd say it's been "hit" more often than "miss".
It does say on the site if the stuff is in stock or not..usually right under the item description.
I've ordered stuff from a dozen times, and if you order before noon, it'll usually ship out the same day. I've received things within 2-3 days. I believe once something came from the Utah warehouse and it took 4 days.
RockAuto just screwed me over on a clutch master & slave cylinder - so I'm sending everything that I ordered back. I'd planned on buying an alternator & a whole bunch of other parts for my swap as well, but after the guy telling me "Well, the contents of the kits are random" when I asked them to make it right (about 5 minutes ago), I'm not gonna give 'em another dime. Screw 'em.
Don't try to pee on my leg & tell me it's raining...
I ordered some stuff from them on Friday at around 2PM. At 4PM, I received an email showing my Fedex tracking number and that it had been shipped. This was with their cheapest shipping option (ground).

3-5 days I think. The condition still applies/varies from where the items will be shipped or delivered
i've order over $3,000 worth in the last year from them in several times with no issues. if they have your part and it's the cheapest you can find it's worth it. not every item is cheap but they do a good job that's for sure.
7 days to deliver in Europe , not bad :=)
Everything Ok, some parts are crap , like AC Delco Reman. or some "DOORMAN" cheap stuff , but there's a lot of decent stuff to keep well your car.
I ordered 2 upper strut mounts. I place the order Monday afternoon and select 2 day shipping. It said allow 1 extra day due to them coming from outlying warehouses. I figured add the extra day meaning they ship Wed. and I will have them Friday right?
Somehow my order gets screwed up and I have to replace the order at about 8:AM Tuesday. Still no problem because I knew nothing would happen to Tuesday anyway originally having ordered on Monday afternoon.
Wed. afternoon rolls around and my status still showed waiting to be shipping. I was like WTF and called. The guy on the other end had no excuse whatsoever and was no help at all simply saying yeah it should have shipped, hmmm. He admits now that it will ship late and I will not have it Friday unless I pay for overnight! I then tell him that they are damn well going to pay the extra to overnight then he threatens to cancel my order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally because these jerks have me by the nuts I agree to pay half of the difference.
They FINALLY shipped today and will be here FedEx tomorrow by 3:PM. I got jacked for $68 in shipping alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Screw RockAuto! Worst customer service ever! It's one thing not to have an excuse, another not to do anything about it, and then on top of all of that FORCE me to pay half of the shipping difference when they should have eaten it ALL!

Well, I am going to bet that the shipping error had nothing to do with Rockauto. That's why they put those "warnings" (- Stocked in outlying warehouse--shipping delayed up to 1 business day). They don't stock that part in house, it get's dropped shipped for them. Rockauto can't control that. Maybe they should change the warning, but in most cases, it is only a 1 day delay.
At least next time you order anything from anywhere, that is dropped shipped. You know not to order the extra cost quicker shipping on items that are dropped shiped. But is unfair to rant when it's not their fault. It just sucks that you are the one who got screwed.
They didn't force you to do anything, you could have walked away. Next time, try not to wait until the last minute to order parts you know you will need.
I'll contribute to this. Yesterday (2-22) i ordered 2 AC Delco parking brake cables. The shipping said it was a non stock item so shipping could be delayed 3 business days. When i recieve them i will let you know how long it took them to get to my house.

That all depends on where the parts are coming from and how much you paid for shipping. My last purchase came as two seperate shipments, because the parts were comeinf from two different warehouses. I received the first within two days, and the second after five days.
Well just to follow up, I got 2 different looking mounts (painted and molded different, not just different sides) even though they are both the same brand and the passegner side bearing was defective!!!!!!! God I'm so pissed. The hardware and plastic bags inside were different too. The only thing that matched were the boxes saying the same brand and country of build!

Cables came today, so 6 business days (not including the 22nd)
I ordered a full carpet set from them, and it got to me in less than a week, I don't remember the exact number of days. I'd say it was excellent, especially considering the large box the set came in.
