So I ordered a lower center console and upper center console from GM Parts direct. I recieved a lower center console from them with a large crack in it. Emailed them the next day with photos of the crack on Sunday. They have ignored every email I sent them. I have contacted my bank to try and pull back the payment. We will see how this goes but right now it looks like they are a B.S company to deal with.
You will probably have to file a claim with the shipping company!!! Have fun with that, I highly doubt they would intentionally ship you a broken part!
personally ive never had a problem with them and ive bought quite a few things from them. Im with krisb410 on this one. U said u have emailed them....have u tried calling at all??...............actually wait a minute i dont see a phone number listed on the site....dont see a number on Flow Chevrolet's site either! good luck man...let me know what happens.
I had one and only one poor experience with them and I soon found out that they argue their "good" prices by doing "bulk" shipping every few weeks or so / when the sattelites align / when hell freezes over etc. They list that in their FAQ.
I got fed up in 3 weeks I ordered the part from a stealership and got it in 2 days and recieved the GMPD one 2 weeks after that.
They also charge individual shipping on each item which I find rather high, and this coupled with thier obviously poor customer service leads me elsewhere every time.
The only use for their site I find now is to relay part numbers and to quote prices. I certainly hope you can get your $$$ back.

You know, every day, Best Buy, Summit, Wal-Mart, etc., gets in damaged goods by the carrier. You can't expect the distributor to inspect every package for resale. Hidden damaage hapens, boo-hoo. Generally it's the carriers fault, not the supplier or retailer.
Contact the carrier and file a greivance. They all have a hidden damages claim.
It was damaged in shipping. You'll get a new one eventually. GMParts is not responsible for the item once it leaves where it is shipped from. Quit whining.

Quit whinning?, $200 screw job and I shouldn't have any opinion on that.
I wonder how many people you try to rip off on a daily basis. Let me guess your a regular on ebay.
Let me help your small brain understand. The vendor is responsible for you receiving what you ordered. See in the legal world that's how it works. Why do think we have the right to pull back charges? And see the vendor shipped the item and payed for the shipping and the insurance on the item. So without the cooperation of the vendor you are not going to get anything from a shipping company. The vendor is the one that will recieve the credit for the damaged merchandise. Not the customer who received it. Especially on a commercial account. They are the ones that need to file the damage claim and if they don't cooperate your not going to get very far.
Now for an update. I contacted VISA since GM Parts direct decided they did not want to deal with anything and "they are not responsible" as deadbird suggested. And guess what they are responsible!! VISA contacted them on an internal phone number that they don't list. I was on the line with VISA. And after a few minutes of them stating there was no one there that could look into anything and VISA not accepting that as an answer and refusing to hang up until they got someone. The manager that was "out of the office" suddenly appears on the phone. Now they say they are going to schedule a pickup for the part. However, that still has not happened and I called the shipper today to see if they have scheduled a pickup for my address and they indicate there is nothing to date. Right now I have a credit from VISA for the part. Which VISA will charge back to the vendor.
Those darn consumer protection laws. They really can put a wrench in a good long hard day of bad customer service and screw overs.

I never said that you shouldn't.

I've never sold a single item on Ebay. I am in service, my job it to try to keep customers from getting screwed from our salespeople. I like to be able to sleep at night. Good job jumping to conclusions though.

Let me help you understand. I also get the privilege of dealing with products we receive. The vendor is responsible in insuring that when the product leaves their premises, it is in good condition. What happens in transportation is out of the vendors control. We (as a company) have been in numerous disputes over damaged goods far outweighing you piddily $200. The thing it boils down to is NO ONE (vendor or shipper) wants to eat damaged goods.
Sh-t happens sometimes.... it is inevitable.

Wow, you got Visa to do the part you were not able to achieve... file a damaged good dispute. GMParts, Visa and the shipper will work it out for you eventually. It happens day after day after day.

I really am glad you're getting the issue resolved. I just think that you got a little more boiled over the issue than was needed. I hope you eventually get the new part, in undamaged condition, you deserve.
They quoted me $175 to ship 2 shocks 300 miles on the east coast. They're nuts. This is not the way to do business. In dealing with ordering on the web, never order from anyone that does not have a known physical address and/or phone number. Try http://gmpartscenter.net/ next time... There in Scottsdale AZ

You can find post simliar to this on most of the GM boards, they seem to play games where they can and the sad part is, long as the pay to be aboard sponsor, most site won't let you bad mouth them, true or not.
Was a big thread about them taking folks on camaro5.com but it was all scrubbed clean as the board gets a cut.
