Never had a problem with stuff from Denny's Thirdgen ranch. I am sure that if he sold you something broken he will make it good. I have bought parts for both of my thirdgens from him for 10 years and NEVER had a problem.

I bought a complet surp set up from him .The a/c bracket where the top bolt threads in was broken off , no way of threading .I had also bought a complet dual fan set up from him with harness at the same. The heavy red and black wiers wer cut and taped together on both plugs . None of this information was givin befor purchase . By the time I got around to install it was a year later and never bothered to call . The serp set up is sitting on my garage floor.(also left him good feedback and he never botherd to return the favor)
try contacting him again, thats not like Denny to do that. he just gets busy and is hard to get ahold of sometimes. Dont give up; Denny and Beth are good people to know.

You should not have waited a YEAR to check it out. Used is used, Denny will make it right if he can, but if its a year later its not his fault that you waited that long to install it.
As far as your bracket? Helicoil it. Its not hard to fix stripped threads. Especially on a part that can be easily removed from the car.
Hay I am just saying what hapend to me .Yes I should of inspected the stuff better when I recived it .I never tryed to let him make right because of the time laps and the 85$ it cost me in shipping. The fact is he knew this when he sold it . Never said anything about it, other then parts are in good working order. Thirdgen try and thread something that is not thier with a helicoil .(striped -broken off ).

You obviously don't know exactly what helicoil is meant for then.
As far as not trying to make it right, you never gave denny the chance. Maybe you wouldn't have wanted to ship it back, but Denny would have worked out something between the two of you, even if it was a partial cash back for the damaged part.
Denny is human. He makes mistakes. But he is a good business man, and does try to correct them when he is aware of problems. If you don't make him aware of a problem is it his fault?
Remember, you are dealing with used parts. Denny usually follows the same guidelines that a pick n' pull would. If the part is bad, he'll exchange it first, and if problems persist he'll probably give the money back.
I do not have a broken bolt stuck in the threads ,or striped threads. I have a big chunk of missing bracket . I have bought and sold a lot of parts thought my time . To over look somethig is one thing ,to hope the person you are selling to dose is another .
does anyone have the number for thirdgen ranch because i bought carpet from them thru ebay and that was the 24th and still havent recieved it also i cant get no response on when he shippped it and such need someones help
I bought a ton of stuff from him on ebay and only the spoiler arrived, the rest didn't. Took ages and I don't get any replies to my emails. Paypal refunded me for the other parts because I opened a dispute but I'd rather receive all the parts. Dunno WTF is up there but he's been getting quite a few negatives because of slow shipping lately.
i already bought some of the parts I didn't receive elsewhere.
ok he finally replied back to me and said he was contacting the ups to have the carpet sent back because i left negative feedback i didnt think you could do that and why would you send a carpet ups i think he never sent it
been waiting a month now, sent a couple of emails, had a reply to the first one, but only to indicate shipping can take a while, not that it'd been sent.
something's arrived at the local post office, but i suspect it's computer parts from someone else, rather than trans am bits
edit- maybe the missus finally told him to get the dozen or so f-body wrecks off the property.
I've bought quite a few parts from him in the past, never a problem whatsoever, as a matter of fact, I pretty much only dealt with him on eBay. Haven't needed anything lately, so this is kind of a shock to hear what his business has become...I hope he gets things worked out.

The same goes for me. I never had any problems, with the Items I've got from them.
I order a MAF over a month ago and I have heard nothing except when I issued a dispute with paypal, Denny said he'd get back to me with more info, that was a couple of weeks ago and I have heard nothing. Now he is a sponser, hmmm. Come on Denny, pick up your game mate, I have to order all of my parts over the net and if I find someone good I will stick with them,so you could of gotten a good customer in me but I'm still waiting for my MAF (so my car is running like ****) and I have heard nothing from you. I'm not impressed

I have always had a good repore with Denny and even been to his house in Crete to pickup some parts. You can try emailing him via pm and his user name on this site is something like Lafn at U.

same here. i'm from the southside of chicago but now live up north and found him on ebay some time ago. at first man he was awsome to deal with had no complaints, even got to go out to the (ranch) and pick up parts to save on shipping. but shortly after that things did start to break down with communication and coordination for getting parts. i'm not sure what's going on myself but i've since moved on in order to finish my ride. so i would suggest to use a bit of caution with him right now until he gets things back on track.

The real question is, why should I have to track him down to get parts I bought off him on ebay and paid for immediatly? I paid him the day I won the auction, why is it that I don't have my MAF? Maybe someone should direct him to this thread, and the others on here about him. I don't like to run down the rep of a sponser, but it would be hard to reccomend him to someone looking for parts
I bought some parts from him off ebay a couple months ago. Arrived in good time, were packed well, cleaned up and in condition. Good experience for me. I will definitely check with his site when I need parts.
Well it sounds like there are some good stories from this guy, so maybe I will still see my MAF, I live in hope..........

I got a message from Denny today, he says there was a USPS mix up and they lost the package and issued him a refund. He said he sent another MAF to me on monday and gave me a tracking number that is telling me the package has left the USA, so it looks like it is sorted, I'll post here when I get the MAF and have tested it.

Well my MAF arrived about 20 minutes ago and fitted it. It works fine and the car is no longer throwing a code. So, it was slow but I got the part I payed for.

Most of the complaints about Denny are from overseas. Foriegn customs are the usual culprits. Most everything I ship overseas seems like it takes forever and 2 more months. I've been dealing with Denny for almost 9 years now and have never had a single problem that wasn't fixxed.
From what I know his ebey store was shut down over a dispute on a package shipped to the UK. It was later found to be sitting on the docks at customs the whole time. He now is a sponsor here to give us a more direct line to him and eliminate all the ebay hassles.
He has never done me wrong ever. The rest of you shoud give him a chance.
Well I am from overseas. However I have been ordering parts from the USA for several years now and I know how long it takes, usually around 8-10 working days. If it takes months there is something wrong. It's very easy to blame the person for being impatiant, but you may notice that I have posted when the replacement part was sent, and it took 8 days to get to me, about what it should, not a couple of months. Denny set thing right but it did take alot longer than it should have, a mix up with USPS I am told.

I just wanted to let everyone know I decided to take a chance and order from them. Not only did the parts come in much sooner than expected but the quality of the pieces is amazing. I ordered some new interior parts and I was amazed. I'll definitely be ordering again, and next time spending a lot more money.

All I know is the prices are very reasonable compared to any where I have looked. I am definately going to take a chance. Plus I live about 20 minutes from him.
I ordered a passanger door on Mon and received it by Fri. The complete power door was only $100.00. That is the best price I could find. I will be ording from him again.
I just ordered a hood support from them for my TA today, I will let you know how it goes.
On a side note, I chose to pay using a money order and when I checked out online at thirdgenranch I couldn't find an address to send the money order to. I sent an email to dennyb trying to get one. Hopefully he will reply soon.
I just ordered a complete plastic trim kit with all of the interior plastic for my 84 and couldnt find an address for him so i emailed him and he emailed my back later that day so so far so good im hoping to see my parts sometime soon so i will let you know how it goes
Ok, I just received my part form Thirdgenranch, I had the wife open it up (I'm at work), and from the pics she sent me, it looks fine.
The price was excellent, the service was excellent, and I receved my part (hood latch support) in a timely manner.
The thing cost like 9.00 and the shipping was 13.00 so your looking at 20.00.... not bad considering the exact piece was like 50.00 at another big "competitor" that is listed in the forums.
I am happy and will definately use Thirdgenranch again!!
