Modern Day Muscle

I ordered a few things from modern day muscle over 2 weeks ago, e-mailed them last week, and still haven't gotten a word from them. I used paypal to pay for the the items (a drivers side mirror and two gfx brackets) as soon as I checked out. Anybody else had any problems with them lately? I'm starting to get worried and they have no phone number. What do I do now?

Re: Modern Day Muscle

I too had the same problem with them.
No communication or responses to emails.
I did finally recieve the radio trim I ordered TWICE!
Thanks to their poor communication and lack of processing orders,I know have
an extra digital dash radio trim piece.Oh well,at least I have a backup if I
happen to break one in the future.
Anyway,Loud91rs,I'm sure you'll get your stuff.
They are just very slow at getting it to you.
And by the way, forget about getting a response to any emails!
My situation happened over a year ago,and still no response to anything.
Great parts & prices though.
Thats 1 good thing about them.

Don't worry there shipping time sucks (sometimes) and they never answer their emails.

But do not worry you will get your stuff with in the month.

I have order from them at least 10-15 times already

i ordered a mirror and a license plate bracket from them. both of them were shipped fairly fast (i dont remember being pissed). although with the bracket they sent me one for a Z28, even though i ordered a sport coupe one. i never got around to trying to install it or telling them about it.

Communication seems to be the top problem for these kinds of establishments. The Government should take a step about these stuff. It's really pisses "any" customer with services like these.

Ordered from them twice, excellent service, received both packages within 7 - 10 days and I am in Canada. Their billing systems over charged me 1.5 for shipping from what I was quoted, I was not worried about it, but he noticed it and refunded me the 1.50.
Parts came in GM seal containers

Re: Modern Day Muscle

I have NOT had good luck with this vendor!

It's been several months now, and several emails to them. They did not send my order, do not answer my emails, and at this point still owe me $109.85 that I pre-paid for parts that I did not receive. The parts that they did send in previous shipments, did not come with ANY type of invoice...

It's my hope that "Perry" will see this email and send me a PM in an effort to resolve this pending issue.

Why does the government need to get involved? That's the beauty of a capitalist economy: If the business doesn't meet your desires, then take your business elsewhere. No customers=no company.

I bought a radio trim plate from them the weekend before last, and it arrived last week. I never got a tracking number or a ship notify, just an automated confirmation email after checkout. Overall I am happy though, the price was good, and shipping was quick.

I've used MDM many times...never had an issue. I've ordered from both their ebay site and straight off the MDM website. Always a pleasure.

Just got my alum. dist cover from Perrypam last week.

I'm sorry to hear that folks are having difficulties with them. My wife recently ordered two new bottles and a headlight switch from them. She had them the following week. I've always ordered directly from their website and never had any issues with any orders I've made.

Re: Modern Day Muscle

Recieved a response through Paypal's dispute program:

have tried to contact the seller 2x via email. I have not recieved any tracking info nor a confirmation that they even recieved my order.
I would like to get a response with tracking info or a refund. I have ordered several time on ebay from this seller, but when ordering from their seperate website, it seems very common for people to either not get their stuff, or it comes very late without communication.
I have attached a link to several unhappy people with a similar problem.

From Seller - Perry Schneiderheinze
1/21/2009 00:36 PST

We apologize you did not receive the tracking information from USPS, when the package shipped they automatically send a notification to the email specified in your order including the tracking information. This email may have ended up in a Spam filter. I am going to note this and we will begin sending out emails with every order shipment direct from our website which will include tracking and ship date. Again sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Sincerely
Perry

However as you can see, He did not supply the tracking info. I did once again ask for it, and a ship date, and a expected ETA. These are simple questions I should get answers to.

I've dealt with them before and everything was OK, but now I am waiting for an e-mail response from their website on availability of a "discontinued part with very limited availability". No response so far to even make a sale.

Re: Modern Day Muscle

I bought some power lock switches and the triange window guides from them. Took a while to get my stuff, but I didn't really care because I wasn't in a rush for them. I think it took maybe 2 weeks or so.

I'm about to buy a coolant reservoir from them also because they're the cheapest I've found. I looked on a couple of other websites and everyone else is about 10-15 dollars more than MDM.

Slow shipping but very reasonable prices, especially when you're building a car on a budget.

They better not go under! My suspension is done, but i need all new emblems for paint, and a coolant bottle!!

I cant see how they could "go under." What overhead do they have? For all we know they could be out of someones garage lol.

Thanks

I looked just now and they dont have one posted. Your only choice is thru the ebay email system. If you look back at my posts, I had to file a complaint thru paypal. I got a USPS tracking(del conf) number but it nev er showed any progress. it sat in MO for ever Paypal finally took my funbs back from them and gave me a refund. They were well aware and never volunteered a refund or to reshop replacements.... bad business on their part. I also find it odd they do not offer any sort of direct phone number. I would look up quasar enterprises in Mo. and see if there is a listing. I am actualy in st. Louis for work the entire 1st week in March. I plan to pay them a visit in person if I can round up a address. I have several days of free time. Maybe he isnt aware of all of the issues (yeah right) anyway I can point him to this thread.

I just dont get it. I have ordered from them dozens of time on ebay, but this order via their site was just stupid.
