anyone know why hawks and some others just jacked up their prices for front and back carpets from 109 each to 159 each? do we now use more carpet to do our cars? maybe the forms that they have had for 25 years need to be - well they dont need to be anything - they last forever.
actually there is not a single reasom for this. the costs for other carpets on the same sites is going down.
sounds like 3rd gen people are getting screwed by some of the folks.
i like hawks but i cant figure this one out.
when you consider shipping and all the other crap you can get it custom fit, installed, for 500.00 - less if you look around.

Before you start beating on a supplier...Stop & think.

The cost of material/production/what it costs him, may have gone up....FROM THE MANUFACTURER/HIS SUPPLIER.

Several item from places like Hawks/Summit/Jeg's...They buy from the manufacturer in bulk & resell to the public.

Not only that...Your post was bashing Hawk's...That is prohibited by TGO posting rules. If you have a LEGITIMATE problem with somebody, like a review o a product, that's fine to post. But your post wasn't.

My cost on the STS units went up, so I passed it on. Same as anybody else would.

Please note ACC went up on pricing by 12.5% and on the logo floor mats by 23.5%

The ONLY supplier who did not increase prices to the supplier is Phoenix Graphix.

EVERYONE ELSE DID BY AT LEAST 5% for the product and also an increase on shipping.

Don't knock the end retailer guys it is the PRODUCER forcing us all to increase our prices.

We as a company have had the same increases.

It happens every year.

Some PUI products for the 70-81 guys went up 33%!

LOL it is still much cheaper to restore a 3 Gen then say a 70 Cuda!

A real business has a retail outlet PAYS TAXES,has workers and expenses related to that (comp, 401k insurance)

A real business is there in 5 years, 10 years, 15 years.

Not playing innocent....MY STS unit costs went up, so my sale price went up. But my profit margin increased by ZERO.

Our prices went up EXACT to what our increases were this year. Our profit margins remained intact not increasing not decreasing.

Could be worse.

I do roofing and shingles have gone up 10% a month for the past 12 months= 120% in one year.
Something about the way gas is made now ,less by-products left to make shingles with, so what is left goes for a premium which is passed to the consumer.
And I have to pass on to the customer, which is hurting my profit because people are putting off repairs hoping the price goes down,which is not likely.

May or may not be a scam, but it is not is not the little guy if it is.
As said above we just have to pass the cost on to stay in business so we can provide the services people need or want.
