racecraft just hiked the price on their road race k members.
congratulations to everyone who got one already.
now it looks like bmr for me when i get one.
699 is too much with all the options i want.

You mean price INCREASE....not 'hike'.

Hike implies dishonesty....Production/material cost increases are not uncommon & are passed on to the consumer. Had to do it myself, on the STS units.

well to me, increasing the price ~150 is a hike.
either way, i didnt mean to imply any dishonesty.

Red, there's nothing incorrect about your usage. From the dictionary as a noun:

A rise in price
or
An often abrupt increase or rise: a price hike.

As a verb (which you did):

To increase or raise in amount, especially abruptly.

they must have realized that everyone else was charging 599 for a comparable part in mild steel and they were charging 549 for chromoly.
who knows.

you are right about steel going down though,
its still a lot lower than a few years ago as well.
