Hello there has anybody dealt with www.Rockauto.com ? I was introduced to their site the other night and although they are not F-body specific they seem to have quite a few parts for my Camaro my question is that the prices seem to good to be true on a lot of the stuff and I was wondering if someone has bought from them before

I have never delt with them personally but a girl i know bought headlight motors for her 4th gen off there site and they were good with shipping and the motors were fine. I'm actually going to buy my fog lights from them when i finally scrape the time/money together.
ive bought a side signal lens and head lens for a corolla from them, ive also bought an egr solenoid. i hate waiting. But i like to buy the parts the month before i do anything anyways, but the shipping bites me in the lower back side. but the prices on the products are awesome, although the sub contract a lot of the parts.
one thing to watch for, is when you order multiple parts, they do have an indicator if one is coming from the same warehouse as the other stuff in your cart. e.g. it might be cheaper to spend a few more bucks on that type of item if it comes from the same warehouse as your other stuff (shipping costs).
i ordered a dozen items, and have about 5 locations being shipped from. so then the shipping price was much higher than if I maybe paid a few more bucks for a different item coming from a common warehouse (yeah i went back and checked on a few, but didn't feel like another hour online to try to consolidate and save another 5 or 10$)
I ordered some parts for my Cherokee through them and was quite satisfied some of there stuff can be kinda pricey, but overall great place will definently order from them again
Recently bought a set of rear PBR caliper repair kits from them. An item either none of the local parts store could get or they wanted to charge more than twice the price.
I am big time happy with them. I tried them today for the first time, and saved 15.00 on a non AC blower motor and wheel, it would have been lower if I had found the discount code before I ordered. They crushed oreillys auto as far as price and that includes shipping, and they use UPS or FedEx. I will use them again.
I bought a fuel pump and sending unit for my Trans Am through Rockauto and received both very quickly. I also bought a fuel pump for my 2003 grand am but had to return it because i needed an all-in-one fuel pump and sending unit. I had no issues with either order or the return. Both times they were much cheaper than the local O'reillys. I will definitely be using them in the future.
I got lucky with them, they have a warehouse in Ft Worth Texas so I go the parts I ordered overnite. I will absolutly use them again.

Just bought a oil pressure sending unit from them for 1/2 of what Advance and Napa wanted. Received it fast and it's on the Camaro right now. Also got a magnet!
I've bought a ton of stuff from them - as above they have a shipping calculator that shows multiple parts if shipped from the same warehouse - everytime I order i try and buy other things I need if it's shipped together. you can save a lot on shipping doing this vs buying each as you need it.
Always use the discount codes and signup for the parts feed - they will send you an email with a link to parts on your cars you've setup that have wholesaler discounts running. Once you have the link you can keep it saved and when you click it you will get the updated wholesale list showing the parts, discount and how many they have. I got many parts for 30-70% off rockauto reg price!
I just made my first order with them. I bought a fuel tank, pump and sending unit for my 91 Formula.
I ordered the stuff late Wednesday, and the pump and tank got here yesterday. The sending unit (as per FedEx tracking), is on a truck for delivery today.
I didn't pay for expedited shipping, but was very impressed at how fast everything has arrived.
Combine that, with the fact that their pricing are very good, its a win win.
With a 5% coupon code, I paid $390 for everything including shipping, whereas Advance AutoParts wanted $430 for the SAME PARTS, and that included a 20% discount!!
So yes, I will be buying from Rock Auto in the future.
I to have used Rock Auto for a lot of parts. Service and delivery is quite good. The issue that I have had is with getting what I think I'm ordering. The pictures and descriptions are often misleading or lack information. For instance, when ordering a replacement water pump I wanted one that looked identical to the factory '88 part. Since the photo is so poor I couldn't confirm that. After ordering two different part numbers units they are universal even though the description said that one was an OEM replacement and the other was a AC Delco unit. I had the same issue with trying to figure out what AC Compressor to order. Overall, though I recommend them if the part you are ordering is a standard replacement type part.
I ran into that on something I was looking at from them... I wound up having to cross-reference their part numbers with the mfgr and get some add'l info there - Its really the only want sometimes to ensure you know what you're ordering.
I ordered from them a few years back when I wrecked my 2000 Hyundai Elantra. I ordered just about an entire front end from them (Bumper, bumper cover, hood, fenders, lights, radiator, radiator frame, etc...). Prices and shipping were great! I had an entire pallet shipped freight to my house!

I stumbled across these guys and found them to be quite good, fast shipping and priced cheaper than any other online seller and all of the locals. (if you're in L.A. I highly recommend A&G its in Gardena but their prices are almost as good as RA plus no shipping expense). The shipping can really add up with RA so if you're going to order I'd recommend trying to choose parts from the same warehouse, and/or ordering all the parts you know you'll need eventually in a big order. Usually stuff like brakes rotors calipers and shoes will all come from one warehouse, then wiring stuff like relays and switches from another and so on, which might help make it easier to combine shipping.
I bought two brand new Timken hub assemblies for my Tahoe from them. Autozone wanted $190/each. Rockauto has them for $100/each. Even with shipping it was WAY cheaper. Rockauto is awesome.
TOTAL BUNCH OF CREEPS..yeah some of their prices r good...
So I am overhauling my car's suspension. I placed 3 orders with Rock Auto in the last 6 months for $175, $125, and then I am set to place a third order for $245, but before I do so I call them to see if there are any coupon codes available. They say no. So I place the order and 10 mins later in my email I get a coupon code from them for 5% off. So I call back and speak to a lady there who says no problem she will apply the 5% discount retroactively. A few days later I call them asking where my credit is and they start telling me they cant apply it after it was shipped and what was the name of the girl that I spoke to So I ask for a supervisor and I tell him simple choice either you honor the 5% ($12 credit) you said you were gonna give me or you guys have just lost yourself a customer for life He says to me my hands are tied and there is nothing he can do. R U serious? I mean how short-side of a company is this that they would sacrifice a customer to save $12???? There are plenty of auto parts vendors online So I will not order with them ever again. You would think they would do a better job of trying to retain their loyal customers in this climate..Go figure.

I'd have to ask you a similar question. Are you really put off by them that you could not get a $12 discount when you probably in fact saved five times that if you ordered through them instead of going to something like AutoZone?
Maybe you don't realize that the coupon they send out is an automated process and their system won't let them retroactively add it to an order. You need to take a chill pill.
Well if you bothered to read my post u will see my issue was they promised me the credit and then they re-nigged..if they had a sense of customer service they would give me the credit and not blame one of their employees sayin there was nothing they could do..its not about $ its the principal

Trust me guy, I read your post. And you seem more miffed about not saving $12 than them not honoring it. You are acting like they tried to steal your girlfriend/wife/significant other away from you or asked you to give up your first born for the $12 savings.
The fact that you created an account to post that even more boggles my mind.
What r u? a secret agent for Rock auto or smthg..the title of the thread is "anyone dealt w Rock auto" thats what i posted here my "dealings" w rock auto..
and dont tell me its about $12 and not principal cause u dont know what ur talking bout..ok guy

haha. okay buddy. You caught me, I'm a Rockauto secret agent. Or maybe I just recognize when someone is overreacting.
I got rear control arm bushings for my 2000 Eldorado ETC. $ 106.00 total. Nobody else had them and I was told it's a dealer only item! Dealer wanted $850.00 for complete control arms (the only way they came). Am I happy with a $ 800.00 savings on raybestos bushings? You bet!
