Ebay seller gmclassicparts

What a D***. I bought front spring insulators from this guy and everything went well except he sent his stuff USPS. Of course the USPS took their time and did an overall crappy job as usual. So I left positive feed back about great transaction, but shipping was slow. Then this dude sends me an email about what an idiot I am. The guy was a total jerk. Why is it that on ebay, when you leave any kind of complaint, instead of him saying "maybe I'll use UPS next time" or something, these guys grow brass balls and fly off the handle?
For the record, I have never had a bad experience with ebay. I have had some mediocre experiences, where this one is ranking.

You'll get much the same treatment from the guy that runs Dependonauto on ebay.

Lots of these over caffienated jokers around these days.

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

try fatrodder, lotsa laughs with the brain dead hippies they have working for them

Also, the 5 start system thing is wreaking havoc on sellers. If you give them less than a 4.9 rating or so their listing fees go up, an even lower score..they go up even more and so on. With a real low score they can not use special listings, they loose their power selling status and what not.

When you used the checkout it should have listed USPS so in that respect it is kind of lame to give him a lower rate because USPS is slow. The rating should reflect whether he shipped it fast or slow, if he shipped it the next day or so you should have left him 5 stars

Bottom line, it's costing him money!

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

Dudes most likely pissed that nothing sells on ebay anymore, & when things do sell its a steal. I sell too, well when people actually bid. I sold a brand new starter for 99 cents. Then u get some jerk picking at your feedback for not paying to upgrade the shipping for the stuff u stole. Loook at the auction it tells u the shipping service used. I upgrade people for free sometimes. I have had people poke at my feedback saying good good good oh but the shipping was high even when I charged less then anyone else shipping the same item. Its just not right to expect that everything is going to be a dream when u pay $5 or less for something I paid $60 for. Im not gmclassicparts just saying that it works both ways.

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

I did the "BUY IT NOW" option so the guy got exactly what he wanted for this part. I'm never lucky enough to bid and get a rediculously good deal on anything. When I go buying parts, it's because I need them, so I usually use buy it now or bid a fair price. I wrote a correction to his feedback on ebay when I cooled down. I will never buy from him again, or suggest friends to buy from him though. Let this be a lesson that you won't hopefully have to learn. Keep you temper in check when dealing with online customers. It's actually much easier to hurt your business online. I'm not out trying to mess with people, but when someone flies off the handle like that it's hard to resist. I would have posted the correction if he had just asked and I wouldn't have started this thread.
For the record, I wasn't saying anything about the cost of shipping. I was just letting him know that it took forever for me to get my part. So, yeah it was kinda crappy of me to penalize him for USPS mix-up, but I wasn't aware that it would effect his listing costs or anything. Good to know. Still, have some tact.

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

Hey its all good. I went off on people from ebay too many times. One guy that wanted to bid sent me email asking me like 4 questions about the item. Every question was in the short auction description (3 lines long). I replied in the most rude way possible. Went something like this: U have got to be the dumbest mother fuker on ebay. Every answer is in the description but don't bid on the item please cause u r sure to bring me more pain. I hope u never reproduce. Hey he caught me in a bad mood.

Im very sore on ebay as u cant tell. Id say ive lost half the money ive spent over the years due to sellers that rip u off. Thats just the stuff I never checked before I left feedback, & or had to rebuy things locally at full price. The worse was the convertible top. Ripped the old one off first then had to buy one in town cause the seller screwed me. So what I thought would cost $220 ended up costing me $400. Couldnt wait for the mail run around since it was winter and i had no top.

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

I have used this guy a few times. I have been on ebay for a little onver 11 years. I would think thatamny people know that the USPS is slow. I ask for UPS before I send payment. That way they(the seller) can get me a new shipping price. I have gotten more than a few good deals from this seller. All you have to do before you commit to pay is ask the seller to change shipping, If they dont then do buy it.But They were out of line for what they said. Yes the new 5 star system sucks anything less than 5 stars is a negitive in ebay's eyes. I buy and at times sell there. But I am going to be using craig's list more and more, Only because ebay is getting to high on fee's. They are still a good place to get parts. Hell you can run into problems at a brick and morter store front.

Well, this guy was purposely deceptive in his description, and way overpriced. When I bought NOS rear spring isolators, I got the new 4th gen style ones, and double the price that I could get at my work (Chevy Dealer). Then he wouldn't refund. I had to get paypal involved to get my refund. Why deal with a "shady" guy in the 1st place when there are so many other sources for parts.

I see what you are saying. I myself never had a problem. Yes they can be high in price, For me I know that parts will be kinda high for a 1982 camaro. They seem to be getting harder to find. Junk yards just dont have stuff like they used to. Thats all I am tring to say. I think it sucks you got burned.

Re: Ebay seller gmclassicparts

My dad has hundreds of feedback and never sold on ebay. he has been real lucky till the other day. Some guy sold him some tires that where stated to have 1,000 miles on them. I was at his house when the ups truck pulled up. U could smell the old wore rubber when the driver opened the door and when I looked up he was rolling a pos tire that was like 1/32 on one side and 3 on the other. So what he did was replace his worn tires and sell them on ebay lol. Dad got his $350 back for the bid but not the shipping ($80). Just think if no one was home and they left them at the door. ($80) more to ship back so he could get his money from pay pal. Ebay is screwed up. Why should we be out shipping once or most often twice if the seller is a dirt bag?

Seller had 800 feed back that was 100% positive too. Maybe he thought my dad would not want to pay $80 to ship back. At any rate ebay themselves are all dirt bags. They wont let u use nothing but pay pal (owned by ebay) now to send or receive payments. It cost more to use pay pal then ebay most of the time. Snakes in the grass. The last thing I sold I lost money on cause of the hidden fees, and shipping caps. Ya they capped the price u can charge to ship an item to the buyer. I had to use my small profit to make up for the extra shipping cost. Thats thanks to people crying about shipping costing too much. Wish that worked when I went to the post office. A-holes.
