Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

About 2 months ago i posted on here about what i was thinking of doing regarding a cam upgrade, i was contacted via pm by oscar sebastian, a thirdgen user, about solutions. He continued to tell me about his custom tune that hes been able to create a decent amount of power that would be a better option for me, i payed him for the chip after he collected all my information, and then he "shipped" it out. To this day, no chip has been recieved, multiple attempts at contacting him, he tells me he will send me tracking 3 days later (multiple times), and then theres the excuses, his no refund policy, he will burn another chip for me, but then ignores my emails once again. For anyone that is contacted by him, i would avoid him, you will just lose your money and get aggravated by how pathetic people can be.

Sorry to hear that. If you still need help with the tune, give TunedPerformance a hollar. He is a good guy and may help you out.

That guy is bad news period. He gives out the worst advice, contradicts himself constanly, and generally seems like he has no clue about what he's talking about.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

I ordered a chip from him as well $50 told me he did a bunch of other chips for members. I didn't need anything fancy just to set my fan to go on earlier. so ok paypaled him the money he sent me a message saying he received it and he'll send it out right away. a week goes by nothing try to get a hold of him but he blocked PM's ok.. waited another week still nothing tried to get a hold of him again, no luck. thought to myself this guy just stole my $50.

2 months later! I repeat 2 months!!! I finally get my chip. it did its job but definitely never goin through him or any1 else before doing some more research on the person. he went by the name ninetyone on the forums. it said he was a member since 09 so I figured he was trustworthy. be careful people. "ninetyone"

I'm sorry that happened. Try to do background checks on who you buy from, especially if they're not a business.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

same thing happened to me but at the time he didnt have a bad name on the board. I have a chip now. After over a month of waiting. That I am scared to use because If he lacks in shipping does he also lack in tuning knowledge. I filed a paypal claim before he shipped anything and once he shipped and proviided them with tracking everything was okay in their eyes. But I had to order another chip from someone else (tunedperformance) and now i have two chips. I installed tuned performances chip and the car runs great. Oscar is a punk, thief, liar.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

hmm....now i'm a little afraid to install the chip he burned for me. for $50 i figured i couldnt pass the deal up so he burned me a chip and sent it out (i contacted him 1 time to ask if he was still shipping it and recieved it 2 days later) Now i'm a little weary of putting it in.....what if it makes my car blow up into a giant fireball?

One way to find out.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

Just watch the direction of the eprom it has a notch that needs to face the right direction.
Worse case it will run bad or ping if the timing was to far advanced.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

going back and reading all the pm's it does seem a little suspicious. and apparently i need to buy a $35 adapter from "moates.net" to use the new prom he wrote. does that sound accurate? i mean i'm in it $50, should i go for it and see how it is or should i just forget it and get a new one written........if it helps too i can copy/paste the pm message here

If you were just sold a chip the stock chip is soldered in. You can solder in a d2 socket or get a g1.

Keep your distributor timing stock at 6 degrees and I will take care of the rest of the timing for you. The compression you listed is pretty much stock compression. You really should run premium fuel though to get the best performance, but not necessary. Ok, if you want a chip, then fill out the info below and I accept Paypal:

Year,make,model
Engine size
TPI,TBI, or MPFI (v6)
Injector size
Transmission type
Thermostat temp
Any current engine mods
Anything you would like to delete?
VATS (delete?)

Also, I accept Paypal. To pay,you would need to log into your Paypal choose "Send money" and my Paypal name is: o.sebastian33@yahoo.com

Just sent the money now
You should be getting your chip anyday now. Please handle it carefully. Before installing it, gently bend all of the pins inward with your index finger and thumb so the chip will go into the Moates adapter smoothly. Make sure you disconnect neg. battery cable and ground your self by touching the car body once before you touch the chip. Let me know how it goes. Oh, and also. Make sure the little half moon on the new prom faces outward and make sure you install the factory memcal in the same direction. Just look at the pictures in this link first and you will get the idea. http://www.moates.net/documentation....mentation_id=9

when do you think the chip will be coming in? i still havent recieved it yet
Ok, what is your first and Last name? I did send it out already. I need your name and I will look you up and get you a track number.
Brian D

thanks

awesome...since you clearly know more about computer stuff than me, maybe you can help me with this too: I dont have a computer for the 350 tpi, i only have the computer for my 305 tpi. my dad thinks changing a prom in that would help...do you think thats something you can do too?

also with the chip, is that to increase power too?
Just remember the stock 350 TPI chip Used price on ebay and everywhere else is about $200 and a custom chip usually averages about $399 anywhere else. I offer this service to help members out.
1st convo

this is the first convo. i think it doesnt include any of my personal info

Ok, i'm gonna just talk it all over with my dad and go over everything first. the motor wont be going in until next fall i think so i got a little bit of other stuff to go over first....i'll explain to him everything but i'm not sure what the final product of the motor is going to be quite yet.
Do you still want a chip?
Yes I do, but i'm not sure what my end result of my engine is going to be, or even what cam i'm going to put in it yet since Summit wont email me back. I dont know if any of that will make a difference for burning the chip
Do you still want the chip?As long as you buy a "compu-cam" (computer compatible camshaft) then you won't need re-tuning after install.
I think i'm going to wind up doing the crane 2032 cam and boring the block .030 over. Is there anything that can be done with making more power too? I dont think i'm going to be doing much more to the motor since i'll wind up out of my budget
The crane 2032 is fine. It will work good with the chip. There is a ton that I can do in the chip to make more power if that is what you mean. If you buy a 160 or 180 thermsotat, that will give you lower temps which then enables me to program more timing into the chip, this helps boost power a lot. Let me know what you wanna do.
would you suggest i wait till the engine is completed until i get the chip burned? I'm ordering up the rebuild kit maybe next week and then sending the block out to be bored once the parts come in (machine shop requested to have the parts to make sure they all fit up properly) but then it may not be till next summer till i buy new lifters and a cam and throw the motor in. I'm not sure if you need me to send you the comp so you can get the chip, but the only comp i have is currently in the car, the backup was ruined by flood waters
You don't need to wait til the motor is done to have a chip made. I do not need the computer or for you to send anything. I will take care of the chip and send it to you. I many not be offering this service in a year from now when you buy lifters and a cam. So, if you want a chip,I would order it now.
i think this has no personal info.

I'm not sure if you got messed over, one would have to read the eprom. If your wanting to save money instead of buying a g1 send me a pm I will help by unsoldering the stock chip and solder in a dip socket so you can use the prom you purchased.

Got a crap tune from him as well. Granted I know just enough about tunerlro to be dangerous hut there were things in his tune that were huge red flags for me. I've still got a copy of it somewhere and after that mess I decided to wait for a dyno tune.

Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

After witnessing him being removed from at least 10 automotive pages and reading 500+ post threads with proof of no change and full private conversations I find it quite disturbing and will stay clear.you can't even file a paypal dispute due to his custom invoice. He may not of taken advantage of you but of you but several local friends of mine were victims. I won't fall for it.

The chips are not even his, he claims they are custom chips but they are 100% mass produced. He pays 5 dollars for the chips and turns around and sells them at 50 dollars.

That's too be expected. I don't think many people claiming to be tuners are also semiconductor manufacturers. They all come from the same place.

I don't mean the physical chip, I am talking about the tune of the chip.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

the tune is a good one, don't get me wrong, but this scam artist runs a business claiming the tunes are his own custom tunes and charges 50 dollars for them. He is doing nothing but buying the tunes in bulk for 5 dollars a chip and claiming they are his tune.

Jackson89 you referred me to Oscar before I even saw any of this. I ordered a chip Sept. 1st 2015, here its now Oct. 8th 2015. Still no chip, I emailed him asking if it was shipped and he asked when it was ordered, and ok no problem. That was Sept. 16th 2015. I then emailed him Oct 2nd 2015 asking on the status, no response. Also emailed him today no response. From what I got before he responded really quickly within 1 to 2mins. Maybe you can get in contact with him and find out where my chip is since He is not responding to emails and you did referrer me to him.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

I ordered a chip from Oscar before seeing any of this. I still haven't got or heard anything back. I ordered it on Sept 1st 2015. I emailed him on sept 16th 2015 and he said he would check on it but still never got it or heard anything, not even a tracking number. I then emailed him Oct 2nd 2015 asking for the status and no reply, again today I emailed him and no reply. When he did reply it was really quick within 2 to 5mins. I was referred to him by jacksons89. So since he doesn't answer phones, now not answering emails. is there anyway you jacksons89 can get in touch with him? Do I have to wait 2 months to receive something from Delaware, or California to Maryland?

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

I started a thread regarding VATS delete and Jackson89 recommended a chip from John Wayne. I believe Jackson89 is John Wayne also known as o.sebastion@yahoo.com. I ordered a chip 6/24/16 and charged to my credit card, delivery was to be in 5-7 days. Texted him 2 weeks later and he responded ON THE WAY. Texted him 3 weeks later (now 5 weeks from order) and he responded I"LL CHECK ON IT. Texted a week later and he responded WHAT'S YOUR NAME. Emailed and texted my name and address and have never heard from him since.

Filed a fraud report with Chase VISA and have my money back while they investigate him for fraud.

Stay away from this guy, the only person he delivers chips to is himself, then praises himself on this board!

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

Apparently I pissed him off by cancelling the order and reporting him to Chase VISA. An airline ticket was charged to my credit card, the only time I used this card in 3 years, so it had to be him. Please learn from my bad experience.

Re: Oscar Sebastian, steer clear of this thief.

If you have one of his chips I would suggest someone data log your car......

I have retuned 10 of his "chip" cars on cars that are not bolt on cars. And is laughable some of you claiming you could feel a difference by seat of the pants.
