| Nord-Skog Performance Products Never have I experienced such unbelievable customer service as I did with these people.
My Cyberdyne digital dash is ailing and I've been looking all over for contact info on them. For all practical purposes they don't exist anymore, but used to be part of Intellitronix (if I have the story straight).
Finally I called up Summit and asked for their number and they gave me a California number which I called up. When I called it and the receptionist answered "Nord-Skog" I thought "aw crap another dead end..." but I asked anyway. I find out when she puts me through to someone it turns out that they bought out Intellitronix about a week ago. Then I described my problems and he said "Oh, you have the wrong company." disappointed, i asked if they were capable of repairing it at all and they said if the company can't do it then they would take it and try. and as i was about to hang up, he offered to find the right company's phone number for me, so I held. as I sat there listening to muzak on hold, on long distance to cali from florida, i thought what are the odds anyway and was about to hang up when he came back and said it's your lucky day. cyberdyne used to be part of the company and they had a guy there who was very familiar with the product in question and he could fix it, and proceeded to give me a return authorization number. after i gave him all my information and mentioned that i'd bought it secondhand so i had no paperwork on it, i asked how much a repair might go for, to which he replied "a big fat zero; can't argue with that, huh?"
he even offered to have me talk to the guy who would do the work, and i said well, i'm running up someone else's long distance bill, and he said well we'll just call you in a minute then. really, it wasn't a big deal, but the thought was there and it impressed the hell out of me. |
