Spohn --> slackers

Well I dont know if its steve, or his dad, but someones responsible for waiting 6 days AT LEAST before shipping an order. If they can't keep up with production they should at very least let it be known when ordering instead of leaving one under the impression that their stuff is in the mail.

I'm not going to say a bad thing about their quality because I know that its good. Otherwise I wouldn't have ordered. I just wish they'd send my chit.

Just wanted to give a heads up to anybody ordering that they can expect delays, either that or steve just doesn't like me

Well, I've made 2 orders to Spohn in the past and received my stuff on time on both occasions. I know most people already know this around here, but his products are of excellent quality and at good prices. My wife just ordered an adjustable panhard bar from Spohn for one of my Christmas presents, too.

Quality is one thing, customer care is another.

Not only has he stopped replying to me, but he's not been the least bit apologetic, this is rediculous. Last tuesday the order was placed and even today I've gotten no confirm it was shipped and they're closed.

You do realize that everything Spohn does is hand-built don't you? He is not a speed shop which has parts on the shelf for months waiting to go. If you want that, I would suggest utilizing Jegs or Summit and getting BMR or LG stuff (that stuff is always laying around). The Spohn stuff I have received is quality parts and worth the wait. Many people order stuff from Spohn and I am sure he is busy, I don't think your money is any better than the next guys and am sure if you wait patiently, your stuff will come. Good Luck

CALM down dude you are going to give yourself a heart attack. My SFC were ordered on SAT. and shipped on FRI. Not bad for something that is made to order. Plus some things are worth the wait.

I don't think there was any call for that remark there. If that's indicative of the e-mails you have sent him, I'm not surprised he hasn't responded. You need to calm down. You called them slackers on this board. Wonder what other insults ou've used.
You placed an order last Tues for stuff that is hand made. That is 6 days, only 4 of which have been business days. Of course, that could be why he hasn't responded. It hasn't been long at all since you ordered. Maybe he's too busy making his products to sit down at the computer and answer the many e-mails he gets as soon as they come in. You realize some people only check their e-mail once a week or less? There have been times when Summit and Jegs have not gotten my order to me for nearly two weeks. If you can't wait less than a business week for an item, I suggest you limit yourself to parts you can buy at Autozone, NAPA or any of the other chain stores. *** forbid that you would ever order from AFR.

You ordered 4130 chrome moly adjustable LCAs, we don't always have a pile of them sitting around, so I had to wait for some to come back from being powder coated.

A week turn around time isn't long dude, you must be new to the aftermarket game. I waited 9 weeks for AFR heads.

Your credit card does not get charged until the order ships (today), that's our policy, and it's in black and white when you order. Why would you be paranoid? Your card wasn't charged, we've been on here for years.

We have a business license, notice that Inc. that means we're a Pa. Corporation.

tpi_roc,

Spohn, inc. isn't Dominoes pizza where you place your order and your SFC's show up in 30mins or less.
The stuff in Summit or Jegs is all very mass produced.

You have three choices when buying anything,PICK TWO:

1) Speed
2) Quality
3) Price

As I recall I made the post about my experience and my view of it. This is My review and If you dont like it, dont read it. I'm letting others know what I experienced for anybody who expected prompt shipping.

For those of you attempting to target me because Im posting about my experience with a vendor that YOU had no problems with, find a better way to waste your time.

And as for steve, If i missed it its all my fault but I didn't pick up on anything when i made my order or browsed the page that would lead me to believe that NOTHING was in stock and all orders are made after their order.

I also need to clearify.

He did respond to my very first email when I asked about a tracking number, and I quote:

Subject :
Re: Thank you for ordering from Spohn Performance, Inc.

Date :
Tue, 4 Dec 2001 16:47:33 -0500

You will be emailed when they ship out, it looks like the package
should be leaving tommorow. Thanks.

I was told tomorrow the day after I ordered, If this email would have said something like "I make all my parts by hand (which i already knew) and I currently dont have any in stock, they'll be shipped out to be powder coated XXX and they'll be back XXX and shipped XXX sorry for any inconvienence."

Then I'd not have a compaint in the world, and im not even all that upset, fawk any more im just defending myself because I chose to post on my experience and everybody else chooses to tell me I'm wrong.

Anyways, there's my fuxxing review.

They aren't all made to order, just depends on timing. You happened to order at a time when I had no 4130 LCAs ready to go, had to wait for some to come back from being powder coated.

I apologize for the one week wait. That's about all I can say over the matter

The "wait" isn't the complaint.

Do you have PHB's in 4130 built ?

Also, when I said it would ship the day after you emailed me, that was because I was supposed to get my powder coat load back that day, but then they didn't have it done. I should have got back with you, but sometimes I can't remember everything. So I apologize for the mis-communication.

Just more proof that Steve is a 1st class guy. He'll be getting PLENTY of business from me when I do my T56/9" upgrade. My undercarrage will say Spohn more times than his website.

slackers, yeah right. i ordered a T56 torque arm/crossmember powdercoated gloss red on the 3rd at about 11:30 at night, and i just got a confirmation email that the package will be delivered on the 17th. thats exactly 2 weeks to the date from the order it will be in my hands. thats excellent "wait" time in my books. thanks steve, im sure the product will be an excellent piece of work. and if it is you can guarantee that i will be ordering a set of SLP y-pipe sub frames for my iroc next month. ill snap some pics of this bad boy when i get to show everyone the work. i cant wait to get this thing and use that adj. torque arm!
