Just installed an Accel SUPER RAM and PLENUM/RUNNER KIt ( Part #74196)

A Few questions
1) My 88 GTA is now overheating(wasn't before) Would it have something to do with installing this?
2) Car doesn't seem to run as good as it did with stock TPI. Seems to have lost power on take off
3) Anyone in West Tennessee area good at tuning this set-up I live in Martin, Tenn.

4) Would I be better off to return to the stock setup?

I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

West Tennessee F-Body Association, Inc.

You can ask for help at the west tn club.

I would guess that you either:

didn't re-set the initial timing correctly
didn't tighten all the bolts and have a vacuum leak
don't have a scanner/laptop to gather data
didn't reset the iac and tps sensors
or, a combination or all of the above?

And as for the running hot - are you sure you refilled the radiator all the way? I'd check it again since you may have had an air bubble (or several) and now the water level might be too low....

Are you sure that the thermostat is opening? Pull it out and put it into a pot of boiling water. See for yourself. And of course what they said above.

1) It could have everything to do with the superram installation. Like said above, check your water level as well as proper thermostat operation.

2) You need a tune, simple as that.

3) Can't answer that one, but if push comes to shove and you can't find anyone to do it for you, there is a wealth of information on this site about doing it yourself. It's a big step though, and demands patience and a motivation to learn it. I'm just beginning to dive into it.

4) Only if you can't get this setup to work for you. If you can resolve the tuning issue, then you'll see a gain in power over the stock tpi setup. Plus, it'd be a shame to have to go back to the tpi setup since you've got this on and working.
