Hi, I would like to convert my 83 Camaro from carb to FI, the purpose of this conversion is to improve driveability. My choices are between the Accel Pro-Ram vs the Holley's Stealthram; My engine is a sb 383 with an AFR 195 aluminum head, power output is around 450hp. Do you think the Accel Pro-Ram will fit underneath the stock hood?
With a single-plane EFI and your Camaro, it will fit under the hood, but only with the cutting of a small portion of the hood under-supports. No way in a Firebird. You can check out my thread in the Parts for Sale section since I am selling one. It can give you an idea of how tall they are with a carb hat and cold-air intake. If you get a cowl hood or the likes, you can run an open element instead.

IMO you will be better off with the Pro-Ram. I swaped from a Mini Ram last year to a Pro-Ram and I love it, it has better air distribution than the MR or Stealth Ram too. Put it this way I knock off .5 tenths in the qtr.

I don't have any pics of it installed since I never installed it, but I did tons of research on it before I bought a single thing. Do a search on the user "anesthes" and you will find lots of pictures.
