For the sake of my own mental health, I went short while running a SR. The intake's inherent complexity was bad enough, didn't want to make things worse fitting big covers. BTW fabricated aluminum covers wont fit, they have to be the tall slender type.
I'm liking these covers. They are avaliable in tall and short. I am using roller rockers so I was thinking tall but worries about clearence issues with the SuperRam? I would just get the shorts but they have baffels so I am wondering if they would clear my roller rockers? Maybe I'll just go with the shorts and knock out the baffels like i did with my stock type covers? Are pretty much all baffels just spot welded on and easy to knock out?? what one would u guys go with??
by lookin at that last pic....i dont see how thoes covers would work with them bein tall....i would say if you go with tall covers you would have to run center bolts not the perimiter ones
SORRY, this is so late.... BUT...
I would go with short covers.
I have used both. The shorts go right on and fit over my roller rockers with no problem. I am using billet shorts.
I used stamped steel tall covers.
I had to squeeze them to fit then past the intake runners, and they still scraped the runners every time I took them on or off. If you have any kind of finish on the runners, you could be scratching it every time.
PLUS, my car sat for a while. When I took off those steel covers off they had rust all over the inside top. Not enough oil was getting up there.
