pro products sbc efi manifold

I recently saw that Professional products started carrying an efi maifold (52038 and 52039)for sbc that is quite affordable:
http://www.professional-products.com...uctSBchevy.php

I found that the satin manidold is 200 and the polished is 245. rails for them are 100. This puts it below the cost of a HSR. All you would have to do is to make an intake elbow with a square bore spacer to bolt to it. It is basically a Hurricane manifold with machined injector bosses. I have owned the Hurricane and found it to be a good intake-I converted it fuel injection then sold it.

Anybody have experience with it yet. I might try this if I build my 400 this winter.

I wonder if they make a Vortec version - that'd make for a real bang for the buck!

One of the members on here that I have meet is a supplier of professional producs. That is where I got my prices from. I will end up buying from him as he is a supporter and member of this site. This ends up being at least $150.00 than the HSR with fuel rails. I am sure flow is quite comparable.

I'd bet $100 that those pieces are actually edelbrock manifolds. They all look identical to edelbrock stuff, and they have the same product line. I am guessing they are somehow getting their hands on raw cast edelbrock stuff and selling it that way. Kinda like how Accel and Edelbrock share the same TPI base.

Nope, they are VERY similar, but are NOT the exact same casting. They are a cheaper Chinese manifold(even says on the bottom). Im not saying that they are bad or anything, because I have a Pro Products manifold and it works great. I like how it has a rear water ports to cross the water and keep the motor a little cooler. Just hook the rear ports to the fronts, with braided lines(or virtually anything) They will probably need a little port matching though, because the ports are not always 100% correct, but still a good price.

Re: pro products sbc efi manifold

It's not edelbrock, I have the edelbrock victor EFI and there are differences I can see just in the small pic there on the site, primarily the injector mount bungs, location of them, and the rail mount style.

They are less expensive and made in China. They are a good manifold. they are not the super cheap sand cast molds. I have owned 2 or three of their manifolds as well and was happy with all of them. Some small port matching is needed, otherwie, alright.

Re: pro products sbc efi manifold

I had an edelbrock manifold to go on my engine with vortec heads, and the engine builder said no go out and buy yourself a professional products crosswind plus for the vortecs. We find they flow better then the edelbrock ones . It was not a sales pitch either because he was not selling me the intake and he knew I already had one from edelbrock. He was not the first engine builder recommended these intakes either .
