miniram hard lines

The hard lines in the miniram, are they 3/8" NPT or -6an?

I thought they were -6, but now I'm starting to think they're NPT..

Which ones are you talking about? The fitting into the fuel rail? I can go look at mine...

Re: miniram hard lines

if they aren't -6, then they are double-flared. I've never seen a female swivel NPT fitting to a hard line. If you can pull the nut back, see if the AN flare fits snugly into the line, if not, its a double flare, 45 degree.

Yeah like, if you click on the link to the pic. I have the old miniram with the hard lines. Right now I have the TPIS saginaw to whatever adapters. I called TPIS and they don't know what thread their miniram is.

I need to order an adapter to screw into that hard line, and I also need a female adapter to screw into the TPIS saginaw to something else adapter. I just need to figure out what the something else is both male + female.

Long story short, this is for an FMU going on the return side. Unfortunately my stupid *** lost the blue 90* adapters you see in the picture, so I don't know what thread they were. And like I said TPIS was no help.

Gotcha...

Sorry, mine doesn't have those lines, it just has the adapters that screw straight into the rails & the regulator.

Can you get a good pic looking into the fittings on the lines, that shows the threads and whatever other details up in there, close?

Yeah I can probably do that tonight. I guess I can also take one of the adapters (that TPIS sold me) to the hardware store and figure out if it's really NPT or not or whatever it is.

My FMU is 1/8" NPT so I was gonna get some -6an adapters for that, and a 90* -6AN for the fuel rail, and so on with some nice Summit twist-tite hose and be done with it.

I kinda wish I could relocate the alternator to the other side of the motor, rather than spinning it backwards. I can't help but feel spinning the alternator backwards is going to eventually lead to overheating & failure unless I can rig a new fan blade.

Re: miniram hard lines

They are -6AN tube nuts. Weird. I called TPIS twice. They didn't rmeember. Had to get a -6AN fitting to verify.
