SuperRam guys, vibrations?

Anybody with a superram get vibrations in part of their rev-band?

I have a vibe that comes on around 4k RPM but then clears up around 5k RPM.

Anybody else?

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
Chris

Re: SuperRam guys, vibrations?

Chris-
your post is a couple of weeks old.... but anyway....
The vibration is not the super Ram.... they have their quirks (installation for ONE), but that is not one.
Look elsewhere:
Drive shaft mis-installed?
Something exter nal out of balance?
Good luck.

I would have to agree, preliminarily, that the vibration would more than likely come from your drivetrain. Lube up your suspension and check your u-joints as well. Post what you find.

Re: SuperRam guys, vibrations?

Thanks for the replies guys, I overheard somebody say something about having a SR vibe and I thought I'd ask.

It isn't a bad vibe, but I don't know what it is, I wonder if the balancer has started to rotate.

As for driveline, it does it in neutral with the clutch in as well.

So it has to be motor, I'd think.

Re: SuperRam guys, vibrations?

Have you checked your timing, plugs, wires, the usual suspects?

Re: SuperRam guys, vibrations?

Timing is on and has a custom chip with fuel delivery pretty steady at 12.6:1.

Plugs are good but black, which is how they have always looked.

Wires, one wire does touch a header with its boot and I have a high-heat boot on it. PITA to put on but lugging the car through an OD gear doesn't give really a lugging feeling.
