Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

Put my car on the dyno last weekend. 350 .030" over with flat tops, stock cast iron L98 heads, ZZ4 cam, Miniram, edelbrock headers, slp cat back. Made 260rwhp and 330rwtq uncorrected. Peak hp was just under 5k. I'm pretty happy with those numbers. What do you guys think? That sound about right for my setup? Oh, and it made 375rwhp and 430rwtq on the spray

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

not bad, still 5K is alot lower than it should be. on a 350 with a miniram you should be 6k-7k no issues. my guess is the heads are stopping it, bc the cam should pull farther than the stocker. u port the heads?

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

It still makes about 240whp at 5800 rpm. The heads are untouched and don't even come close to matching the ports of the miniram. I didn't plan on using these heads this long but moneys tight right now. Saving up for AFR's...

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

Any tuning? The heads are a choke point for sure...and with the mini-ram not matching to the heads makes it worse..will be a nice set-up once you switch over to afr's and more cam.

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

not bad numbers... but I'd expect maybe 10 hp more and abit higher rpm. My stealth ram only swapped L98 was at 254whp at 5100-5200 rpm and was very very lean. Probly would have hit 260whp. Your cam is abit bigger so i'd expect 270whp at 5200 or so as well.

Atleast the hp isnt dropping off to much after peak. Thats miniram short runners and ZZ4 cam specs for you

Custom tune by Kevin91Z. Don't forget these numbers are uncorrected. Next step AFR's, more cam, and better exhaust. Just need $.

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

Corrected are gonna be lower they usually are so thats not looking good. Just seems to me that setup would make more power than it does especially through a T5

I had edelbrock shorties, edelbrock performer heads, zz9 cam and the mini ram, and with a near perfect tune I was putting out 292 rwhp and and 320 rwtq

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

I'd say nice. Nice in the fact that I've finally seen some actuall Mini-ram numbers. I've never been a fan of that intake but seeing those #'s I'd say it's certainly respectable. My blown 383 / HSR intake put down 327 rwhp and 485ft-lbs of torque with the timing mistakenly retarded 12degrees and not enough fuel in the upper KPa cells 8(

Not too bad though for your 350 numbers.

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

surprising that the corrected numbers are higher than baseline run. Usually SAE corrected is lower.

270's is where I'd expect that combo to be with good tune/exhaust and decent air. So I say your doing ok

Re: Miniram dyno numbers with stock heads

So your mods have changed your HP from 245bhp to 305bhp & TQ from 345-388 (crank) with a cam, headers, and intake change you gained 60hp and 43tq. The miniram is designed to shine up top...so your peak numbers would be higher if you took it up to 6000-6300 rpms. When you add the heads it will put on another 50hp..easy.....I probably would have went with a more aggressive cam...like a 226/228 .550+ 112lsa...put some 1.6 roller rockers on there too.
