Relocation oil pressure sending unit with First Injections unit

Has anybody else had to plug the oil gallery port at the back of the block because the First intake is to large to let the sensor fit. I know my block has 2 locations(one at the back of the motor by the intake, and one by the oil filter).

I am wondering if i can run both sensors(oil pressure for gauge, and the one for the fuel pump) from the same location by the fuel pump.

I had to take a little off the edge of the intake at the galley port and run a 45-degree brass fitting for the sensor to work there.

you could you would have to buy a brass tee to make it work and probably have to extend the gauge wire alittle

Re: Relocation oil pressure sending unit with First Injections unit

thanks for the tips, i got it to work by modifying a 90 degree brass extension, now i have to figure out why my fuel injectors dont fit right. the ones out of a 305 work, but the ones that were on the l98 seem to be short, and dont seal in the intake very well

yeah but it looks like the bottom o-rings is the wrong one, i am taking the injectors back to the place that rebuilt them this week, to see if they put the wrong o-ring back on them.

yup wrong o-ring on the bottom, now everything fits great, i think. i will pressurize the fuel system before i continue and see if i get any leaks from the top o-ring, i didnt realize when i bought the first system it doesnt come with locking clips to hold the injectors in.

Re: Relocation oil pressure sending unit with First Injections unit

I ran my fuel pressure switch and oil pressure sender off the same port with no problems.

FYI if you so desired to move them to the other location since room at the rear of the intake is at a premium.
