Thayt front passage sees atlernating coolant flows from the left and right bank. It works like this, as one side has is hotter and therefore has a little higher coolant pressure it achieves domination and it's flow goes through the thermostat, that side then gets fresh cool coolant and loses heat and pressure, the other side then becomes dominant and starts to expel through the thermostat. This alternating coolant flow keeps on repeating so all those sensors there see the same mean temp coolant.
