Car: 1988 Iroc-Z and 1985 Z28 Engine: Mild TT 355 and Built 383 Superchar Transmission: Manual | Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims Thanks guys. I love them. The fronts do track (pull when they grab intersection lines and road reflectors) but I have gotten used to it. I dont know where these wheels came from cause I bought them from a guy who bought them new and never mounted tires on them. The boxes said OE wheel distributors in Sarasota Florida. They were ordered that custom size i think.
The fronts i had to grind down a lot the outter tie rods to fit the wheels. I also had to notch the front struts cause the edge would hit. I cant use my coilovers but I will just put them on the other car. It was either get rid of the coil overs and install dropped springs or run coilovers and be forced to space out the rims an additional 2.5 inches. I am really picky about that. I absolutely hate the look of nice wheels that stick out past the plastic inner splash gaurd on the top of the fender. It looks horrible when people do that and on here there is a ton of members who have it that way.
Front and rear spacers are 1.25 inches. I added .25 inches to front so that i can turn to the bump stop. Rims are 54 mm back spacing.
Hope that helps guys. I will get pics up on saturday of it on cement. |

Sorry, I dont think you get the best in show award w/o spending some cash on some real rims. Just my opinion. | What wheels are those? They're pretty sweet.

i think the biggest i want to go in the fronts is x9 just for the sake of driving it every day, only sizes ive seen have been 8.5 and 9.5 in the repro wheels tho, but those have those awful rivets on them.
i want either x9.5 or x10 out back for sure
ya i definitly love the look of those wheels on that car
what do you plan on doing about the headlight buckets? i think when i go white im going to paint them black, looks ****in evil
----------
i have to admit tho im putting in another vote for just 16" stock 2 stripe iroc wheels. Only reason i even want to replace my rims is because i want something bigger, love the way these look tho

I think those are Boze mesh wheels. The center looks alittle different to me though...I know boyd coddington make some wheels that look like that also maybe they are those? |

Car: 1989 GTA Engine: Future: LSX 427 Turbo Transmission: built 700R4 w/paddle shifters | Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims exactly! 5x120...our pattern is 5x120.65 but it doesnt hurt anything. I put them on myself in my driveway and just made sure they were put on very evenly and then I drove it and retorqued it.
I bought them off of ebay from a ADR supplier. They were advertising them for BMWs and 4th Gens so they shouldnt be fwd only. (also they come in 19x9.5 so they def arent FWD only) I bought a set with 35mm offset and used 1.25" adapters up front and 1" on the rear...they tuck my 295 30 19s BEAUTIFULLY.
They can be bought in 18x8 18x8.5 and 19 etc. I dont think they come in 17" however believe me 18s all around looks really pretty too. I dont know the warehouse I bought them from anymore bc it was like 2 years ago when I purchased. Believe it or not, I got my set slightly discounted at $900 shipped to my door! |

Car: 1989 GTA Engine: Future: LSX 427 Turbo Transmission: built 700R4 w/paddle shifters | Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims well I believe that I am proof that it doesnt. Ive worked at Discount Tire for 3.5 years and I mounted the wheels with plenty of knowledge of what i was doing. You are talking about .65mm, i think someone put it best when they said...if you had your wheels overtorqued 10 ft lbs it would open the holes up by .65mm.
However, adaptitusa.com has plenty of adapters that change bolt patterns but you pay 2x the price of regular adapters. For saftey sake, I would recommend going with adaptitusa.com if you are concerned, but I have absolutely ZERO trouble. |

Do you have any clearence issues? Sorry for asking so many questions but I have a black TA also and that is the exact look and stance I am after, you hit it right on the money big time. 120.65mm F**k it I will give it a try, the reason I said its the wrong size is because other wheel manufactures said they would not work? |

As a side note, I went to their web-site and they only make 17x7's in a 4x100 pattern. The 5x120 is only in 18" and larger wheels. I'd love a set of 17's for my car, I wonder if they do custom orders. Hmm...
