I think the pics you took need to be a hell of a lot brighter. Or is that because they're scanned in?

Hope that helps. Congrats on the offer

You should try taking pics in sunlight.. those are too dark.

Anyway, I think your car looks like a fish with that nose on it, but congrats on the offer.

well the first pic looks good. maybe if u sharpen the pic up abit to get rid of the distortion or what ever at the body it wont look half bad. but i still dont like the car and thats an opion. if it was one color it would look alittle better. with the red and black mix it just dosent look right. maybe if the car was all black or a certian blue it would look good. even thought i dislike the body kit.

Like I always say "Nice concept (In your own head!) Poor execution!"
Bob Luts didn't become the Chrysler CEO for no reason(Viper,Prowler,D.Trucks.etc) but now he's at GM cause he couldn't perform.
Definetily major CONGRATS on the deal but those photos better be much better quality.
Gotta make things look professional,Right?

I still think the car has it's ups and downs, but that window eyebrow has to go...! The front clip I think is different, gives some people variety, but I'd definitely get a digital camera or something, those shots won't cut it.

1. the pics are too dark to even consider putting on the i-net
2. the pics are too fuzzy to put on the i-net
3. the angle of the shot should be from the ground up to accent the clip
4. the background is terrible. Too, too busy and distracting.
5. Shoot them with a digital camera for clarity and shapness

Now as far as the clip goes I personally like each and every clip Chevy made for all Camaros from '82-'92, but if you like it i love it. The red black combo is not very good to me. Either the thing on the glass or the louvers or both need to go to black. I understand what you were trying to achieve but I come from the art school of "Less is More", if you know what I mean.

In conclusion the beauty of these 3rd gens is you can either keep it original/stock/factory or mod the hell out of it for your own personal design. This is because there is so much aftermarket stuff for our cars. These are just my opinions and if you had not asked I would have kept them to myself. Anyway, congrats on getting your car on the web for the world to see. That is an honor so get some good pictures of it, even if you have to go professional to do it.

i kinda like it.... i would never do it to my car. maybe alzettas, but never a front clip like that. all in all nice and original. one thing you should do is change the headlights. go for a diffrent style i think thats what makes it look wierd. but thats just my taste. but good work.

Wow, we made it this far without someone posting some lame image off of the net that people haven't seen about a billion times before, or at least others like it. All that's left is a small feud over whether a car is "rice" or not, a lengthy debate with no resolution, and then a valid topic getting locked. Congratulations!

Iroc2nv, i usually don't try to flame people, but that is the most distasteful iroc i have ever seen on this message board. The front end of that poor car looks like it was parked too close to a fire and it melted. I guess fx-designs liked it.. do they make high perf. parts for american sports cars, or do they do imports?

I must say congratulations on the offer man, but i think the only reason they asked you is because you're probably the only one crazy enough to put that on a Camaro. You've got a nice looking car, but that clip has to go. But hey, to each his own, right? I'm hoping, actually more like praying that it looks better when it's one color. Did you ever think about buying a Honda? Oh well, whatever floats 'yer boat. Good luck

The only reason the shots look bad is the time of day those shots were taken - not NEARLY enough light on the car.

Websters dictionary defines heritage: something possessed as a result of one's natural situation or birth

Nothing about your car is "natural" .....seems like you are just adding contradiction on top of contradiction

You were asked because you are one of two people to ever buy that nasty clip.... flip of the coin and the guy called heads.... so they called you instead of thye other 3rdgen owner with no taste you should feel honored you should feel lucky you only had to pay the price of that ugly clip to get a company to use your car in photo's...

Hey Rich It's nice to see someone feels the same way I do. If you read my post you will realize they're eerily similar. Wow, freaky.

wow, you really need a Nomex suit around here, don't you....

Iroc2nv: Please don't do 'Heritage' stripes. That is such a 'Me Too' look. I'm not saying it looks bad, it actually can look good, but so many people are doing it, that it doesn't make you're car stand out anymore.

One of the things that sets off the 'Rice Alarm' is the every-other-body-panel-painted-a-different-color thing you have going on. I understand what you were trying to do, but you went overboard on the red.
That nose you have on there really would look best on an all-one-color paint job, the darker the better. Sort of a 'Euro-Sport' look, like one of those early BMW M-cars.
If you are set on the two-tone, try a real two-tone paint job, one that follows the lines of the car, not the lines of the panels. For example, you could paint the entire car black, but paint the hood and the tops of the fenders red, and carry the red down over the nose to the bottom edge of the headlight buckets.the panel between the headlights would be red, but the rest of the nose would be black. You could also do it the other way around, red car, black hood. Maybe lay a skinny silver stripe on the color separation line.

Once you get the paint sorted out, do something with that license plate. I can't see, but it looks like it's in there with zip-ties. Your profile says you're from PA, so you don't need to have the plate there. I'd ditch it ASAP. If you really gotta have it, move it as far back as you can. I'd ditch it.

Here's a pic of a PHR cover car with a 2-tone similar to what I suggested:

One more thing: DON'T GET THE RAM AIR HOOD! I don't think it looks that great on Thirdgen Camaros, and it would look really bad on yours, in particular. A low cowl hood would look okay, and I think that you might even be able to get away with one of those old-school 'Daytona' hoods.
If you want to be the poster boy for more prototyping, check out GTA's truck hoods, and see if the could put one of those scoops on a Camaro hood.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

Boy, hope you get paid for them using your car, cause I doubt they'll sell many.

Congrats though, wish my car was good enough for advertisement.

I love the wheels by the way.

Congratulations on the offer, hope they do pay you some money so we can see some more mods to the car.......

Think up something different then the "heritage" scheme......It looks good, but you need something different for your car

I got just one thing to say.

I like IROC2NV's car, it looks awesome, and it's very creative. I have no hate against it at all, infact I love it, and I really wanted to see his car at krispy kreme (the meet) a couple of weeks ago but unfortunately my stupid camaro (well, it's not stupid) broke down.

I will say one thing though. Anybody know the 92-96 preludes? well there a body kit for them called the "combat bodykit". That kit looks sweet.

Vice versa, there are other body kits for preludes that look stupid.

I think this front clip looks kinda stupid, but I still think it's original. If you had less "random holes" and maybe just one big hole in the front or something, hard to explain, but kinda like the combat bodykit on the prelude, i think it would look supercool!!!

btw IROC2NV, how did you make that front clip?

i can't wait to see that car when it's all painted... congratulations on the deal, but if i were you, i'd consider something other than the ram air hood. i only say this because i remember seeing a camaro on thirdgenparts awhile back, that had a front clip "similar" to yours, and a ram air hood. it was painted in that chromullusion stuff, but it still seems like the whole originality of your car might suffer. other than that, congratulations with everything.

thanks for the comliments and the suggestions..

i really want the ram air hood because i think it looks the best on thrid gens(imho) but i was actually looking at the daytona hood too...the cowl induction im not sure of, my buddy had one on his stang(may it rip ontario guys will know the one im talking about fire 2 days ago killed it) and he could barely see out his window..

i have decided to go with white, and now that i seen what you guys mean about the heritage stripes(everyone has them) i think that i will just stay with the one colour white without any decals or anything(iroc-z)..

anyways..

im from canada not pa and you need to have a front plate on your car..at least where im from or its a $110 fine

if any of you photoshop gurus would care to do something for me, id love to see a whack of different hoods on my car..(ill provide the pics just tell me if youd like to do it)

umm easy..it was made by fxdesigns as a prototype but now its in full production the skirt was based on the shogun look of erebuni...hence the prelude shogun look!!

thanks again everyone

Congrats on the offer.

I'm not photographer, but my suggestion is this. The company wants pics of the nose, right? They don't want a cool pic of your car in cool sunset lighting. You need to get some focused shots on the nose. The customer who will be looking at the pics, mostly want to see the nose. The pics are too dark whether they are brightened or not. You want to eliminate as much of the graininess as possible. Get 800 speed film. It makes a world of difference. At the very least use 400.

You need to get down lower to the ground and get the pic eye level with the nose. Take them all at the level of the car, not at your full height. Squat down. Get the sun behind you a bit to help light up the nose. People want to see its contour and angles. Give the company some variety. Get a direct front shot, and a direct side shot. Then get a few angled shots. Take the shots with the front plate & then them take them all again w/o the frt plate.

Check a front shot I did of my car. The scan quality is bad, but you can clearly see the nose and it is pretty well lit up. I should have had the sun behind me, but you have to watch your shadow.

You can also take shots on a day when it is overcast. The lighting is less harsh and you have less shadows to deal with here are some I did on the side of the rd.

redraif, what exactly is that 'tounge' type of thing in the center of that front piece...? I wish I could describe it better...but it just looks like a tounge to me, I dunno why!
