That Duck tail spoiler looks like it came off of a BANDIT firebird. These were base firebirds that got ground effects, wheels, decals, and an old 2ndgen Firebird style wing made for a thirdgen. Other than that I don't know too much about those special firebirds and that spoiler.

According to my parts book that spoiler was available in 1988 only, for Firebirds. It was option code "FZ20" and it also included front and rear wheel well flares.

Thanks Karps TA for clearing up the details of the spoiler with pictorial evidence. Those fender flares make that firebird look like a 2nd gen. I always wanted to know what fender spoilers would look like on a thirdgen, but now tha I have seen them, I am not impressed.

I like the Firebird because its different with those fender flares, its just that I have a problem with the front. I wish there was a custom front air dam to extend below the bumper. I don't like that huge gap between the bottom of my bumper and the ground. If rear fender flares were available too I would think about getting them.

I'd love to have that spoiler... I'm looking for something different to put on my formula... anyone got one for sale or know of an aftermarket? (I won't hold me breath)
