I was just wondering why there is a crease in the photo by the right side of the tree right before the wheel well flare
My car is a real beauty in progress but it's in it's beggining stages.
This is what the first engine build up will consist of
World products S/R torquer 305 heads
Comp Cams XE262H-10 cam
cloyes roller timing chain
Crane cams pushrods
Summit Racing steel roller tip rocker arms
Homemade poder coated calve covers
Weiand Stealth intake manifold
MSD billet ignition
MSD 6-AL ignition box
MSD Blaster 2 coil or something around there
600 CFM Edelbrock carb which I just bought used from a friend
B&M Shift kit for the 700-R4
Eibach Lowering spirngs
Konig shocks & struts
Holley fuel pump
ARP Stainless steel bolt kit
Heddman Headers and Y-pipe
Hooker 3" cat back
ROH 17/9.5 Snyper wheels
Weiand Team G water pump
Be cool 28x19 aluminum radiator
Fluidamper harmonic balancer
As much aluminum as the I can reasonably retrofit into the engine bay
Custom gauge setup
Kirkley Aluminum racing seats
Spohn Subframe connectors (Once they are back in stock)
8 point rollcage possibly but I'm still undecided
2-1/2 Harwood cowl hood
Trans am gound effects and F/R bumpers and so on
Speed glass rear hatch if reasonably uncomplicated modifying is involved
and alot of other crap that will follow.
The second engine build up is gonna start with a ZZ4 shortblock and then from there the rest will be roller valvetrain,Aluminum heads,Weiand stealth intake,T-5 Tranny conversion and alot of other unspecified crap that I'm unsure of as of this moment.
Right now I have to stick to the vital things such as rust removal even though there isn't mush and the body.
Here is my engine bay mocked up for some test fitting of a few of the parts but alot more are coming.

Billet SB, Patriot Heads, VT turbo cams, Frank5L's turbo kit, 540RWHP at 8 psi, sucked in a bolt, repair in progress. Looking for 650+ at 14-16 psi once it's back together.
(Not my truck but I have a Sonic L now.)
Rebuilt 700R4 with trans go shift kit, vette servo, B4C upshift thing, will handle 500 ft lbs of torque.
383 with forged 8.5:1 slugs, forged crank, XE282 camshaft, worked over 487 casting cylinder heads (76cc so flat tops AND low compression).
Weiand 177 street blower with worked over quadrajet, running approx 8lbs of boost.
Suspension work consists of drag shocks and street radials. Car runs 12 flat on a bad day.
No, not really, I have a truck motor with a cam, intake and headers. Probably puts out 270 horsepower or so, the heads have big ports for "smog heads." Runs strong, above is the plan for the motor, starting with the tranny, then the motor, then the blower. I'm gonna do it right. If I just do the blower like I almost originally planned, Id blow the tranny first then the motor, and end up being behind. At least this way I can enjoy the 350, then the 383, then the blown 383.
Car will currently keep up with a lightly modded LT1, can almost anything I run into typically, and has so far put a dent of 2200 in my wallet. Me and my father did the paint and the motor swap. I personally have many hours of body work on the beast and it was worth all of it.

I have a 91 RS(my 5th 3rd gen) that originally had a 305 tbi.Now a 400hp 355 sits between the fenders with true dual exhaust. For exterior mods,I added 17" Snyper wheels,SS hood,91-92 style Z-28 spoiler,91-92 style Z28 grille, lowered about 2" with Eibach springs, shaved antenna and handles and repainted whole car black.Inside,I have a 5" monster tach along with 5 other Autometer gauges and a dual A-pillar pod, black 4th gen leather seats,GT grant wheel,B&M pro ratchet shifter, red accents, new headliner and sail panels, new dash, and 90-92 145mph Z28 instrument cluster. I rebuilt the whole suspension and steering assemblies.Added quick ratio steering box,wonderbar,36/24mm sway bars, poly bushings/mounts,Eibach springs, new shocks/struts,Lakewood control arms, boxed torque arm, crossed drilled/slotted rotors,Borg-Warner posi with discs and 3.23 gears, race prepped 700r4 with 2500 stall converter, tranny cooler and cooler fan,and all the goodies in the tranny guts.Added dual push-pull cooling fan system, relocated battery to rear, removed weight here and there.I plan on adding a 150 shot NOS nitrous system and a 3500 stall soon, along with a set of 3.73 gears. I've had the car for about 2 1/2 years and plan to keep it as long as I am into 3rd gens(which will probably be till the day I die).
Kinda a small pic, but can you see the cloud on the hood?

It will shine better when I get it repainted

The Camaro has been sold...
I am kinda sorta looking for a new one if its what I want....Gunmetal drop top manual 350 iroc if possible excellent condition....
my car isn't a whole lot to brag about, seeing it's a project thats only just begun (bought her this april).1988 Formula,305 TPI,5 speed, dented front fenders, faded paint, and a crappy nappy rubber aerowing spoiler.interior looks good cleaned up, custom headliner and sail panel uphulstering is coming up soon, possibly custom airbrushing on some interior panels. Installed a Pioner DEH-14 head unit, 2 pioneer 200 watt 6x9's (sound crappy cause no good enclosure), new water pump, routine repairs, etc. In need of a new T5 tranny, has rear discs, 3.45:1 gears. T tops. 69k miles on her, running strong! finally got that damn check engine light off for awhile now. future mods:
91-92 front bumper
Lower 1-3" depending on clearances
polish the wheels up good
new fenders (possibly t/a fenders w/ vents)
Working on some tail light possibilities
maybe ground F/X
Paintjob (currently thinking Black w/ orange looping style hoodbird)
hooker catback, headers w/ y pipe
orange underbody neons
little things here and there....
eventually a 350 with the current TPI setup slightly modded

This is my ( almost done ) project car, I've basically redone all of the major stuff minus the rear, exhaust, and any frame work needed done, hopefully I'll get to these soon.
And here's the shine on my baby
I dont know if I like the word brag so much but Im proud to have owned this car for 7 years, logged nearly 80 k miles and saw it roll over 100k miles. Ive taken it from 14.1s with a few bolt ons to mid 13s on AWD like 1.76 60fts all while passing emissions and not lifting a valve cover. On top of that its one of the few if the only one like it in my area, a 25th Anniv car and she still looks pretty good for the abuse shes taken over the years and countless drag strip runs. Things will only get better from here on out eventually she will be retired for weekend and track use and she will get alot faster and alot prettier with a fresh coat of what it came with from the factory and Im upgrading to 17" Synpers at the moment. Not bad for my commuter car??
well i like my car because of the style. third gens are awsome. when i was really young i saw a 1969 SS camaro and i fell in love with it. once i turned about 14 years old, i realized that i would never be able to afford a 1st gen. when i was 15 years old i saw the car i have now, for sale. i fell in love with it and i bought it. i've owned it for almost 2 years now. its a fun car to drive. i've had numerous offers for my car but, i turned them all down.
my car is pretty very straight except for the dings in the door. it doesn't have a fantastic paint job like some others(it still looks good though). its got a 5 speed and t-tops, and best of all, its going have a 408 cubic inch chevy small bock in it very soon.

ok, time for me to brag and make you all jealous. my car has no front bumper, a dented rusted hood, many dents throughout the body, t-tops leak like my *** on burrito night, interior is out of car, wiring harness is fried, door handle is broken, passenger side power window does not work, power locks do not work, has a/c but no compressor, hatch leaks, body has like 3-4 slightly different shades of blue. :lala:
on the bright side, we just rebuilt the motor, it has edelbrock headers, flowmaster exhaust, it sounds like a beast i'm putting in new carpet, painted all plastic, got digital gauges, have 4th gen seats, console, and seat belts, replacing t-top and hatch seals, i have a new front end to put on, getting new hood and fenders, having all body work done by a friend, and once it warms up in the spring we'll get the wiring harness working correctly
Okay, I guess I fall in the middle of the road here... Primer on the hood (still rusting, but I'm lookng for a fiberglass one anyway, plus the hood struts are shot) primer on the rocker panel hidden by the door, bone-stock engine and trans, (not even a K&N filter...) Aquatreads (that like to light up real easy), posi that groans and rumbles, tie-rods w/ poly bushings, rusting exhaust and manifolds, lotsa squeaks and groans, leather seats with just ONE small rip, factory sounds including blown rear speakers and a busted power antenna, console cover is AWOL but I still got the nifty tape holders, sagging headliner (wife's next to-do project), but it's MY car, and it won't stay that way, no sir!
Performance and saftey get funding first, then we'll look into getting a nice quality wet-sand and buffed black paintjob, as well as REAL GTA rims.

I'm really bummed about throwing a rod last week, but it's really given me a new appreciation for the car. I miss it so much it makes me sad, seriously sad (part of the sadness is that I built the engine 12 months ago myself and I'm being pretty hard on myself that it grenaded). But I'm reaching a new appreciation for the 3rd gen Camaro (and Birds) since I've become a member of TGO, and love being surrounded by enthusiasts wanting to make a good thing better; I'm glad to be a part of a community with nice cars, and good intentions. Good job everyone.
