Yes, those are SS badges...I know
I can't get a shot of the engine to upload...too big! So, here's what I just finished installing:
Where did you get that bowtie Throttle body plate ? I have been looking for one.
I've been close to the blue car since it was first driven off the dealer lot back in Sept. of '91 as an early '92 model. My close friend had bought it after he fell in love with my Red '92 RS.
Basically, we had the same cars except his was a blue hardtop auto and mine was a red t-top 5-speed....that all changed when I just had to mod my Red '92 (picture attached). Long story short, I sold my Red '92 a few years later, then he sold his 'Blue '92 to me in 2000 before he moved to Colorado. Here's my old Red '92:

I got it from Jegs for like $45.00.

I'll be the first to ask, what did she pull on the dyno? Really sweet car man. I like it a lot! Keep up the good work-Bryan
I had it on the dyno in September with a ported Edelbrock/SLP TPI setup and a mild cam (208/214 .467/.482" with 1.6 rockers). It pulled 312hp @ 4800rpm and 420tq @ 3600rpm. The 4800rpm peak power told me that I would need a better intake if I wanted to see close to 350hp. So...with the bigger cam and Stealth Ram intake, I hope to pull closer to 350hp at 5500+rpm and 425+tq at around 4000rpm. I almost have it back together and should be able to dyno it again soon.

Hey did those badges come with the car, if no where did you get them ive been wanting those for years, if you dont like them id be more than willing to take them off your hands. Ive been trying to finish my project of turning my car into a thirdgen ss and I need those for the project bad!
That car looks awesome. Very well done. Where are you from? You should check out the regional boards. We're having a thirdgen gathering Memorial Day weekend in Crete and hoping for a pretty good turnout this year. It would be cool to see that car there.
Ok Ok Ok, one more question then i am done! Are you using the Hotchkis springs? Those pictures look really good with the car lowered and the 17" 4th gen wheels. Thanks, and take it easy.
I have to say, that is one of the prettiest (in the manliest way possible) Camaros I have ever seen. The color is killer, and the work you have done is perfect. Not too overdone and illegal, but enough to spank down the R*ce at the traffic lights. I am a huge fan of the stripes, SS badge, and ZR1 wheels. I also like the color on the plenum tubes (i don't know what they are called since I have an LG4). :hail:

Yeah I was wondering myself what kind of springs you're running. That's the perfect stance right there.
I love the way that your car looks--- do you take it out cruising on the weekends alot?? I know that I have seen it somewhere before. I live in Crown Point In but I am always out your way. I would like to see it up close. We should cruise 2gether when the weather gets nice------> look for a girl driving a 92 green ta with a checkered flag down the sides and green neons-->thats me.
Thank you all very much for the compliments! I am very proud of the car and how it looks. People comment everywhere I go
To answer some of your questions...
- Yes, they are the standard (1") Hotchkis lowering springs - with Gabriel shocks believe it or not!
- Yes, it's a 3" in/dual 3" out Dynomax muffler, but the rest is from my Flowmaster American Thunder 3" cat-back.
- The SS badges were custom made at a place in Tampa. They only made a couple of sets after they made mine, so I don't know where you would get them now.
- I just finished updating the car this past spring and only took it to one show (Hooters in Downers Grove). I cruised very local to my house on a few occasions. I was working the bugs out all summer and put only about 200 miles on it since the updating (car only has 48,700 total miles).
- I hope to have much clearer (digital) pictures very soon. The pictures I've posted are from a Cannon SLR, Walgreens developing and then scanning in...Niiice quality
- I live in Aurora, right on the border of Naperville (95th & rt59). I WILL be on the streets in the spring and would love to cruise with you guys (and Nikki, of course).
Thanks again for the compliments! Feel free to ask more questions

Yes when the weather gets nice we should defintely go cruising, I go cruising in it all the time during the summer. I go through that area alot during the summer because my cousin lives in southbend, and Its on the way to my budys boat in michigan. Your car sounds very familiar, ive probably seen it before. So we ll have to keep it touch and you can see it up close then. Thanks for the compliments too
Alls I can say is that the car is great and I didn't expect to see that when I opened this thread. I expected to see something such as a 92 RS former L03 with a L98 sloppily stuffed under the hood. That car looks to be factory, and if I wasn't a thirdgen enthusiast, that's what I'd think. Not only does the L98 appear to be factory, but you have complimented your engine upgrade with a set of SS rims and SS badges, which are really cool. I like the foglight mod as well, I did that on my 92 RS, although I still have my crappy LH0 v6. The color is beautiful, a nice stance, you didn't forget any details, NICE JOB.

It is truly an awesome ride, but I still have to know, where did you find the Bowtie throttle body plate?? I've been looking for one for a while with minimal results.

You can also buy them through the Manufactor Mallory Billet Aluminum at http://www.mbaproducts.com/
For Price: $68.00 look under TB plates they have a chit load of them.
Thanks again everybody. I really have put my heart into this car. It's my fourth 3rd gen Camaro and I finally built one the way I've always wanted to...woohoo!

i also want to say very nice car. i really like those SS badges and i wish i knew where to get them from. if you find out please let us know.
I simply cannot help anyone find SS badges like mine! I had them specially made and even after I found out they made more of them I asked them to stop. Some guy on this board from Tampa has the badges too. I had to ask him politely to not bring his car to Chicago...I at least want to be the only guy in Chicago with SS badges
Look under TPI at www.jegs.com and you should find the bowtie cover plates. That's where I got mine less than a year ago. The Mallory Billet ones are sweet too, just a bit more cash.
I can't wait to post a few pics of the new Stealth Ram installed! Coming soon

By the looks of them they only come in red though.
You sort of expect to spend a little bit more cash with the Manufactor then anyone else.
First off man...that car is beautiful. Second, I have just one question. What rims did you have on the red car?? I like 'em
Thanks, Tim. If I recall correctly, the rims on the red car were 16x8" American Racing Equipment 077s. I believe that they discontinued those rims a few years ago...They were sweet, though. I liked them too!
