Spraying the engine bay with engine in.

I want to spray my engine bay (probably with primer and spray paint) black because some of its original blue, and the previous owners purple are starting to show. I do not want to take out the engine however as I have never tried it. Im sure someone has done this already, any advice on the procedure?

It's gonna be tough. You're gonna have to tape a lot of stuff off. I was going to do it, since my heads are off, makes a lot of room.

i think u can do it if you are careful enouph

im shure if you are care full enouph and take your time and make shure the motor is cover up with a bag or something that you can do it and it will look fine the only bad thing is you wont be able to put some fresh paint on the cross member to make it more clean looking. but give it a shot. you can alwase wash the paint off with lakker thinner or something if you mess up.

It can be done, just sand well, remove everything you can and mask what you can't. Its not the easiest way to do it, but it can be more than presentable. We'll redo it when we swap the LT1 in.
