tires

I know a few people that have run 265-50-16's on an 8" wheel, I used to run 255-50-16 autocross Hoosiers on my IROC wheels.

I have 16x8 4th gen wheels on my T/A and have 255/50ZR16 on them, they seem to be very nice so far, dont have even 500 miles on them yet though.

When I had 255's on my 86 Sport Coupe the front ones rubbed if I turned the wheel too far.

a 295/50-16 will fit on a 8" wide rim. that is the widest you can go. 245s come stock, 255s fit easily, and 8" wide rim is the bare minumum for a 295 tire.
