I was just wondering if anyone has ever seen a custom hard top camaro, I love the lines of the convertable, an I think it would be sweet to have a hartop in place of the soft top.
Here is a quick photoshop I did of ChevyKens car just to give you an idea of what I'm talking about:
A friend of mine had a custom hardtop vert. It costed him 600.00 bux to get done but it was a big honkin piece of crap and 6 months after he had it done the car twisted to a point where it couldnt be driven anymore. He use to have pics on the net but he since got rid of the site they were on. Neat but I still would rather have a soft top vert instead
I don't see why Chevy didn't make a coupe in the first place that had a roof the shape of a convertible top with a trunk? Mustangs have coupes and hatchbacks, so why didn't Camaros? The shape of the convertible roof looks sweet to me....
It could be done, with fiberglass. Might be a sweet project for GT Auto accessories. I imagine it would take a LONG time to build a mold and get it all just right though, since theres really nothing to go on. Hehe, maybe you could starch or epoxy the living crap out of a ragtop, then use that as a start for a mold... :P
