Looking at your flickr album...Where'd you get the 2 dual gauge pods, on the passenger side? Are those just a-pillar pods, trimmed to fit the flat mounting spot, and hung there?
What's thant hanging up under the nose? License plate?
Yah thats my liscense plate. In OH we have to have a front mounted plate, and I'm not drilling holes in my nose so thats where its been for 9 years now.
Steve Petroff, your car is amazing..... That is incredible. How does it run?
Fatal88's car is insane, having seen it in person many times, I can attest to that car's complete awesomeness. The owner's (Tim and Teri) are a couple of pretty cool people too. I wonder if they will be at our gathering this week?
Anyway

I wanna paint my GTA yellow, but I'd wanna do it RIGHT, and pull EVERYTHING (motor, trans, interior) and do a COMPLETE color change.
Haha, agreed, I like yellow. I drive a "Solar Yellow" Dodge SRT-4 every day LOL
I feel the same way about the color change issue too. I was all set to paint my floor and everything when I had the interior out of the '92, but then I realized there wasn't much point since I was covering the entire thing with FatMat (DynaMat stuff). So I settled for just the engine bay and door jams, and didn't bother with the interior :P

Also: Yellow 2003 Dodge SRT-4, it's not a V-8 and it'll never replace a V-8, but it's still a BLAST!!!

A few questions:
- are those z06 size wheels/tires? what size spacers did you use?
- what gas filler door is that? I love how it matches the wheels
- what intake is that? Are those Locar cables?
The wipers were ditched because it made the firewall not look pretty. Simple as that. The guy who owned the vehicle daily drove it also, rain or shine.

For all intents and purposes, the car is actually more 4th gen than 3rd gen. The whole front end of the car from about half way in the main compartment to the front of the car is all 4th gen. All of the interior mounts, engine bay mounts and fasteners are 100% 4th gen and bolt up perfectly. All interior equipment from the fog light switches, to the HVAC, and even the steering wheel stereo controls are 100% functional also.

I think Fatal could be called a 3.75th gen now!
I saw it when it was still TPI, and the inner fenders have flames to match the body. Dunno why he didn't put the flames on the inner panels this time.
The gauge pods are aftermarket units that I modified to fit.
Questions:

The wheels are 20x10.5 and 19x9.5 with 2.5" spacers (if I remember correctly) had to modify the rear wheel tubs and coil pockets to fit the rubber 285/30/20
- what gas filler door is that? I love how it matches the wheels
The gas door is a Mustang Bullit unit that I modified to fit
- what intake is that? Are those Locar cables?
Intake is Holley Pro Dominator base, everything else I custom built from there. Yes, I used a Lokar cable and TPI mount for the throttle cable.

Could say that, but I know it is feasible here in Houston. I didn't have wipers for almost a year in my old Camaro. Hardly found time to use it.
No offense to Boyd rims, but they are just all the same looking. I've seen a couple that look good, but man, Boyd needs to come up with some different styles.
I know this is a reply to a really old post but I don't think he will, he's dead.
Boyd was a true hot rodder and he built some great cars in his day and the hot rod community should honor him for his acomplishments but lets be honest ppl he was pretty much an A hole....Ask Chip Foose or Jesse James...If Boyd was real smart he wouldnt have let that talent get outta his shop. Boyd had a Tv show (if you could call it that) but look at where Chip and Jesse are now...I dont see Boyd shirts for sale in Wal-Mart. Not to knock the dead Im sure Boyd had redeeming qualites and he will be missed and like I said the hot rod community should honor his accomplishments and we have lost some one who at one time was a great innovator
Sorry to be off topic, yeah I hear what your saying, but where did Chip get his start from. A-hole or not alot of todays customiserz look to Boyd as an Icon in this industry.
Boyd was an icon...Chip really got his start working for his dad who also built hot rods and yeah boyd gave him a leg up but some one with the passion and talent Chip has would have made it anyway....
Your right tho off topic
Back to pretty thirdgens......Speaking of which has anyone seen the 87 camaro Troy Trepanier is building? It will defintly be in the running for the meanest prettiest thid gen ever when its done.

Wow! I really like how they are smoothing the block and heads It would be even more badass if the block was aluminum so they could polish all that stuff up
I love that TA and I have to have a yellow IROC.
Also, I'm saling my ZR1s for some C6s now...lol

everytime I read over this thread I wanna ask, what color is that orange from?
It looks like the new Dodge/Jeep orange...
either way, awesome transformation..
Thank you very much! The color is a GM color "Sunset Orange Metallic" It's been available (with a few variations on the name) on several GM vehicles. Probably most notably the last couple model years of the Camaro and Firebird had "SOM" as a color option.
Thanks again for the compliment!!

thanx Paul I saw my FIRST Orange and black Firebird Vert the other night.. I am in love..
Yes I did I had TT2's...I just put these ones on this year!
I love your new wheels! I looked for a set on the Boze website but couldn't find them. Closest ones I could find were the Flex or speedster. I don't think they make the "Octane" anymore.
