Here are some pics of my new 92 RS, just washed this morning. Don't worry, SC fans, I'm keeping the 86, too.
Here's a shot of the cheesy tips that are on it. A Slowmaster sits in there; no idea what series. You can see the SC waiting impatiently for new brakes, steering and carb.

A shot of the fiberglass cowl hood. Don't know the make and haven't measured the cowl size. Looks to be about 2.5 or 3 inches. I'm having the stock hood brought here today and may put it back on.
And yup, it's lowered. No idea what springs. The guy I bought it from didn't do any of the modding; the previous owner did. So he didn't have much information for me to go off of.
It definitely needs paint, and some way to prevent the front from bottoming out so much on my driveway. But I gotta say I love how it looks blue or green depending on the light.
the hood looks real good. i dont think judging by that picture its more then a 2inch tho. but that angle isnt the greatest. how much did you pay for it if you dont mind my asking?
$2200. It has a new alternator, fuel pump, brake pads, and the tires have good tread depth. The front GFX is hammered, which is unfortunately expected on a lowered car. I think there's supposed to be a brace at the middle of the GFX, which is missing. The front bumper cover has some peeled paint as you can see, and the hood is dented up where one of the rubber guides holds it up in front (passenger side). Dash pad is cracked but otherwise the interior is in great condition. Engine needs a tune-up and the injectors need some work (maybe new ones). Wheels are in good condition with some clear cracking off; no apparent curb rash. The front passenger side wheel almost looks new after I cleaned it. That's all I got so far.
I'd like to switch to a Cervini cowl... this hood has a big seam along the middle of it.
L03 engine, with the "tall K&N in the cowl" mod, haha... Automatic also.
I was just looking at CrazyHawaiian's 91 Z28, and the cowl hoods look exactly the same. I PMed him to find out where he got his from. I may be looking at Boyd Tuned wheels like his in the near future...
Sweet RS CaySE! Your Sport Coupe kicks arse, and this new 3rd gen seems evenbetter! Congrats man, Also ill admit it does need some Paint, but after that it will be as good as new
In case anyone was wondering, I found out what hood it is with flrtin1's help. It's an Unlimited Products 2.25" cowl hood, part number C-491 (bolt-on). It's not the best hood I've seen, but it works for now.
I got in touch with the owner that modded the car, and here's what else it has: KYB GR-2 gas shocks and struts, Eibach Pro-Kit springs, 40 series Flowmaster muffler, a remote toggle switch for the fan under the steering column to keep things extra cool, and I forgot to mention the Autometer water temp gauge mounted under the center air vents. I believe it's a Pro-Comp Silver LFG, part number 4632
Whsts up all- I figured what the hay let me get in on this convo since most of the talk is complimentary I'm the former owner of the teel 92 RS and was contacted recentyl by Casey. Just wanted to take the time to show a little respect to him for rescuing my sweetheart and planning to take care of her....thanks for poking fun at my conservative Kand N and flowmater tips by the way lol I may not have gone all out but believe me that motor didnt need anyting else at the time to keep up with people around here so I laid back...anyhow- good luck to casey with his project and as I said in an email- if anyone around ny needs a good body shop/mechanic feel free to contact me- I work at a towing and autobody shop in NY that does premo work..just in case...take care guys and nice cars!
Its cool bro, like I had said before its not like I ever went all out. I can take a lil teasing ; ) besides most people here complimented it which felt really good. wish Iwent all out looking back on it...or maybe its just seeing the pics..lol by the way I dont think I mentioned the Tire rods were replaced in Fall of 2001. I put the rest of the info in my email to you which I resent...hope thats what you were looking for
I'm removing the a-arms from the car to get cleaned up and put on the Sport Coupe, and it looks like the springs are red. I can only guess that they are Sportlines. No wonder I bottomed out so much!
James, if you're still around, I'd like to get some of those pics if you still have them.
I'm still around man, and yeah those were sportlines. Hope the project is still going well. I haven't forgotten those pictures, unfortunatley a few weeks ago my laptop hard drive fried and Ive been waiting on a new one which I just recieved this week - as soon as I get my digital photos out of the old one I'll send ya everything I've got- you have my word on that..

That reminds me of my situation. I have an 85 SC that is black and looks almost identical to that. I just recently bought it a friend (89 Iroc). How's the interior on the RS? All the exterior needs is a new paint job and it should look excellent.
The interior is great for a 13 yr old car, even the driver's side seat is in good shape. The passenger side seems to have a stain on it, and the dashpad is cracked, but that's about all that's wrong. To be honest, the only thing wrong on the whole car is a rod knock, no thanks to the owner I bought it from who decided that he didn't have to change the oil the entire time he owned it.
They're definitely Sportlines, chevyfreak88 is the one who put them in. Back when I first got the car he said they were Eibachs, I just assumed they were Pro-Kits.
