Kitt Taillight Blackout mounting question

I was wondering if anyone had experience mounting the taillight blackout from Knight2000s Customs. I thought it would mount under the hatch without any screws showing but according to these instructions it looks like I have to mount them showing. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a blackout from Advanced Designs in Automotive Technology (Don Colie). His mounts using 2 screws that screw into the top of the tail lights and can't be seen from the outside. As far as I know, his is the only blackout offered like this. Can't help ya tho...sorry. Here's mine though...it's modified, but it mounts the same as the Colie blackout.
