as many of you know i painted my camaro about two years ago. i kept it black but i soon found out that black drives me crazy. so i decided to go sunset orange metallic. i went into work yesterday and layed down 4 coats of standox base and 4 coats of PPG clear. i am very pleased with the results. the best part about is that my boss bought all the materials for me. so this paint job cost me nothing . i should have more pics by the end of the weekend. let me know what you think.
heres the pics:

thanks alot guys. i am going to be doing a two tone with the ground effects. they are going to be silver. the rear bumper cover is completely finished with the two tone. ill get you a teaser pic tomorrow. let me be the first to tell you that it looks awsome. i wetsanded and buffed everything today and the car looks amazing. hopefully i'll be able to hang the doors and fenders tomorrow so that i can get you guys a good pic.
hmm is silver gonna look ok with som? can;t wait for the pics to see how it matches up. i can;t picture it. paint came out nice will look great when together. now just get some rims and your really styling
everyone that has seen the rear bumper cover (with the two tone) has said that it looks awsome and that it really brings out the orange. i promise not to disapoint. it will be worth the wait.
as for the comment about the wheels, i couldn't agree more, but i have to get an engine first. thats going to set me back about 10g.
that looks awesome for not being wetsanded and buffed! Are you still going to do that too?

well i promised a two tone pic today and now you can see it. my camera isnt that good but you can kinda get the idea. it looks a million times better in person. i was able to hang the doors today and tomorrow all the buffing should be done.
one of a kind, man is it looking great.......geeez......all these nice cars being built up right now, 2 off the top of my head are JeffW's and yours.... great car man
Hey heavy how much does your shop charge for a really good paint job and assembly of a car. kinda like how yours is set up when u painted it? when i get done with all my body work i need to do, im lookin for a really good shop and not one that kinda puts cars off for about 8 weeks like one did to my brothers 91 z28.

my best guess would be about 5-6grand, maybe more. im not sure. if your really interested i can talk to my boss. if you are doing all the body work it will be cheaper. like i said, ill talk to my boss tomorrow and get you a better estimate.
Hey heavy thanx man, ill be doin pretty much all of the body work. i could even bring the car the way u have yours right now, since it looks like when u do a great paint job alot of stuff comes off. but thats about what i figured about price wise. yeah let me know what your boss says, also would that 5-6k include doin the engine bay if i strip that? basiclly it will look like your car now but black with a custom stripe in candy apple blue.
kool thanx heavy hopefully by or before spring spring my car should be ready for paint hopefully. as long as i get off my *** and do more work. also would it cost about the same if i would have u guys put it back together so all the body lines are good or what would work better?
