Need help with license plate bracket.

Just bought an 87 GTA and it doesn't have a front license plate bracket. I went to the GM place and bought all of the mounting hardware, but I have no idea of the precise place to put the thing. Does it have some kind of mounting holes inside the front fascia or are you supposed to use self-tapping screws. I really don't want to put this thing on there because the car is beautiful as it is, but the cops around here are annoying and like to pull you over for the fun of it. THANX

The bracket is held one by either sheet metal screws or self tapping, i don't remember.. it doesn't matter. You can put it at any height you want, just center it.

Don't ruin that beautiful nose!

Either screw it into your lower air deflector with some self-tapping screws or fabricate a bracket that attaches behind the front fascia and holds the plate in front of the nose.

Screw it, just leave it off. I took mine off as soon as I bought the car. Most cops won't do anything other than tell you that you should have it on. Even if they do give you a ticket, its not expensive ($10 in CA).
