Re: underglo or not?

I don't really like them on our cars. Looks too much like an import. Seems like they are too short so I would want cistom ones. I might like the engine bay idea for car shows. In Illinois they are illiegal and our cops are stupid for stuff like that.

Re: underglo or not?

i think they would look sweet on 3rd gens. but the one thing ive always wondered is how you wire them and get a power source, same thing with interior neons.

Same way you would do it on any other car....Undgerglow kits and neons scream, Hey look at me I'm bright and obnoxious. Pull me over! Steal me!

Its lame tacky and was originally intended for night car shows to light up your car to view work in the dark. Then everybody started doing it in different colors and schemes.

If you want to look like a child who wants attention do it. If not dont. You dont want to draw unnecessary attention to your car. Its not like its a hard modification or requires skill to install.

I personally like Neons under the car as long as you can't see the tubes.
They look cool at night, and sometimes at indoor shows. But showing tubes take away from the cars appearance durring daylight in my opinion.

Re: underglo or not?

I've pretty much skimmed this whole thread but wasn't there a member with white "neon" ? That'd be pretty helpful for roadside repairs.

Re: underglo or not?

Ill most likely put orange LEDs under mine, wont be able to see the tubes at all just the glow at night. Also I may put a couple inside my engine bay just to shine through the scoop and light up the chrome.

Re: underglo or not?

Well, my '84 has them. The PO installed them. I've only turned them on a couple times, once at a cruise night and leaving a carshow one night. I think they look cool, but literally have used them twice in 4 years. They match the car.
