Got it up in the air for a new trans. Started to clean my underside.

My red camaro before black.
My grand national and my old c4 corvette. Sold the corvette and the red camaro last summer. Still have the gn and got the black 86 iroc in place of the red one.

Sold the red iroc because i wanted a black one. The 68 rag top is almost done, Ordering the wheels and tires this week, also the interior and drivtrain will be in within the next month or so. I also have a 1967 nova me and my father restored. This is the 1 car i will never sell.
When i got the red 1 it had sat in a barn for 9 years. very low miles. Coverd in Moss. Buffed it out cleaned the interior and she was perfect. Sold her for the black one, which also sat for a year or 2 inside. Car has many more miles but for some reason runs allot stronger. The iroc is my daily driver. The rest are show cars. The 68 drop top im building, will go to my sister this may at her college graduation. Think she will he happy ? The 68 is also my familys car, my aunt bought it new in va in 1967 and sold it to me for a crazzy good price. Ill have some hard money into it when she is done but it will all be wroth it. ( it is the goodmark car now) Now all of our family will have a car to drive to the local shows. Thanx for the replies. Anyone from around the buffalo ny area? Always looking for another 3rd gen to cruise with.
its a fully polished magnaflow sys. The car has all stock engine components so far, the exhaust actualy sounds pretty dang good for having no headers and all omissions on the car. No cat. Ill see if i can get some clips. I will also try for some drive by action. The wheels on your iroc are the ones im getting, but with the grey coloring throught the rims. Once i save up more, the 68 is draining me dry,Im going to put an aluminum drive shaft in the iroc, new wheels and tires, and some performace engine mods. I drive this car all over the states so i have to keep it streetable. It gets 23mpg now on 93 octane. Going to the 40th aneversary f-body meet in detroit from august 9th- 11th, anyone else going to that?
Im also going to do the aka rally with it every year.

Where at in Detroit is that f-body meet? I will prolly be back there to see family... I might head over there. My magnaflow is going in next week, Same system. Nice looking Irocs. Love the Nova. Its a great looking car. My buddy has a 67 RS hugger orange 4spd and a built 350... Those first gens are sweet when fully restored. Looking forward to seeing some pics of that 69 camaro when your done with it, its going to be a great looking car. I'm sure your sister will be happy!
hmm...so was that brown RS ragtop sitting in VA for the last few years? Do i see a virginia antique plate on it? Is the road its sitting on Greeley Blvd? Springfield, VA?

holy crap! yea my uncles house! It had a smashed back window smashed drivers door and window. Car was a mossy pos! my Aunts origional car, sat there for years and finnaly she called me told me to come get it and i have her 1500 for it. She knows i restore cars and wanted it to go to a good home. You live on greely?
i used to get rides in it as a kid with my uncles when we would come there to visit him. Bolth my cusins learned how to drive in that car. Im the second owner.
That is sooo cool!!! Ya i live about a 3 minute walk away. Off of caliegh parkway. The car had been there ever sense i was 6 years old and moved here. I used to walk past it every afternoon going home from school. I mean i used to take the long way home so i could walk past it! I loved that car, it was one of the few that got me to love camaros and know that i would have one someday. I just thought of it so sad that it could be such a beautiful car and it just sat there rusting away. I just remember walking up to it and sticking my hands on the glass looking inside. Then as years went by some kids smashed a whole bunch of windows 1 day and they got the back window of it. I was just like who could do that...then we had the roads paved and it was moved and it kinda never went back on the street. Jeeze i mean its been gone at least 2-3 years ive lost track.

Up the street a guy used to have tons of third gens. He had a red iroc then a black one...im guessing that wasnt you though?
I guess i dont need to stop by your uncles house to show him pictures of the car do i then? I was going to print your pictures out and knock on the door and show them what the car became.
Oh ya small world, my uncle lives up in Buffalo. Hamburg? i think.
hamburg is a 20 min drive from me, i live in tonawanda ny, pretty much buffalo. yea my uncles car is the green honda accord, he was just in visiting for a week. he helped push the car into out trailer to transport it home. Yea i picked the car up sep 2005 from there house and brought it here. She never wanted to sell it, and one day around 4 years ago told me that if she every decided to sell it she would let me have it, my uncle and aunt are moving soon and they cannot bring the car with them, as its a gated strict comunity, so she was forced to let it go, good thing it was a mess, rotted very bad from sitting all those years. The only origional body left are the drivers floors trunk pans and the passenger side door, but it should be done this summer. It actualy ran when i picked it up, very bad, but it got itself on the uhaul. Here are the pics of how u remember it.
well at least you know it didnt go to the crusher.
i will also try to drive the car therebefore they move, but they may move before its done. Ill keep pics posted on the progress.

I love the engine shot, that original 327 sticker on the air cleaner its just so nostalgic. Same with the stripes on the fenders. Its so good to know it went to a good person / home and is returning to its former glory.

Ya my dad had a GN also btw it had 55k original miles new paint, gnx wheels, too bad he sold it for a very slow 68' fastback mustang...
There was might still be a GNX with 9 original miles on ebay reserve not met at $90k....pretty crazy. About 3-4 years ago my dad had a chance to trade his GN for a GNX which was in a little worse shape+cash deal but my dad decided not to because he had spent over $5k having his repainted.
I miss the GN he had ill have to dig up some pictures for you. Definently just let me know when your down well have to cruise.
I wana drive my iroc far, because i need to make shure it will handel long distance and work all the problems if im going to have any, out of it. I plan on comming down in june. Ill let you kno.

Hey all! I have not been posting in over a year, lots of stuff has been going on in my life but im back. So far i have the 82 firebird se i bought in storage literaly since i bought it, but here is an update on the other toys i have bought in the last 1.5 years.
