yellow and black go good together. we did that on the game. only it was black base and yelow design, looked nice but kinda made me think of a cop car........ i dont know it just did lol lol so we thought na lol
ya but the position there hiring for is only 12.50$ it would take a while at that rate. be like me and just become a jigaloe lol i'm short, pale, and pudgy woman..................... can't get enough of it lol lol lol
"IT HAS BEGUN" ... hopefully it dont end a fatality lol ok were going with the original plan. he's also going to airbrush on the z28 on the two front qtr's and a big one across the rear bumper but he's going to airbrush them to look like the graphics we're going with. he's only found one spot of rust on the whole car about 2 1/2 inches long. now i gotta get over there this weekend and get that motor out. i'll post pics of the progress. i'm like a kid in a candy store dont pass judgment on the colors yet just wait and see........... then tell me "it's gay... you're gay... die" lol lol dont tell my wife its a secret lol
My race car was Hugger Orange I have people look at the car and ignor the motor. I loved the color and in 110 degree sun shine it was cool to the touch. I like when car owners do what they want to thier cars. A clean car looks good any color. You will be awsome. I also like the gun metal gray or silver on the orange too. It will look better with new paintregardless. That is why I own many cars, drive what you want or feel like at that time. Hence Freedom
amen brother, life is short and i just want to have a little fun before i have to answer to the big guy upstairs for holding my little brother down and shaving a smiley face in his hair when he was 10.....
ya they did get a lot of idea's from the old big scoop fat wheel mucsles. i think it's going to turn out ok. after seeing the photoshopped picture, i'm a little more confident in the decision. the guy painting the car has some more ideas that we will be including to so the final result should kick butt. i'm a little stressed about pulling that engine this weekend thoa, i'm not exactly a gear head but i want that engine be to shine pluse i want to put on the rpm intake i have and change the head gaskits as the are leaking insanly bad. i'm sure i'll mess something up..... is it possible to put the motor in backwards?
I liked the photo shop the Brandotron did on the first page. Then it struck me....use the same paint scheme on the hood stripes as the side of the car. Mix the hard edge of the traditional stripes with the toren edge of the side graffic. Just a thought to tie it all together and something different.

cant be put in backwards! buy a chilton or haynes manual and follow the directions and you should be fine.
ya we are going to do the stripes on the hood the same as the sides i was going to wait to mention it till i had the pics on that one thanks...... you took my glory lol lol also going to airbrush the z28 in the same theme and the engine bay is going to have accents that look like the side of the car it's going to be one cool looking car..... i hope and i'm not sure if the chilton or hayes will help me with that motor being a 403 in a camaro.
ok question, what does anyone think would look better for the carb bonnet that will stick out of the hood, chrome or black? i have to use one as the motor is way to high to fit under the hood. and i just dont like the cowl hood look to cover it up.
2nd question, black or chrome rims? i know black and burnt orange rims were mentioned earlier in the thread.... little to expensive right now. i'm having a hard time picturing the black vs chrome with that paint job. i have a set of really nice chrome rims at a buddies house but i cant get them yet. there skinnies up front and fatties in the rear. i think the brand is "american racing" but i can pick up a set of black rims for about 400$ on ebay... for another 300$ they will throw in a kidney .... ebay rocks lol lol
Black rims for show & shine, Chrome rims for racing or clocking the car. As for the bonnet I say black, what does the bonnet look like cause you clould put your cars color on it to accent it. How much if you sell the kidney...hahaha
I sold it to my friend, then he sold it. I had a ew other projects, but I don'e regret it, now I have 3 more 92 z28's & doing a new project. I built so many different cars its a hobby for me.
i like the orange and white if the white was a solid color and ran with the cars lines alittle more but the silver flames are hideous imo , i like the yellow car better.
liked the yellow one, thats sharp. did'nt care for the other one. i hope mine looks better then that anyone know what kinda rims those were? or anyone have a set they want to sell those rims are awesome, money is no object............. as long as it's within my bugdet lol which would be like .. 400$ which probably would'nt get me close to those rims
black and orange rims hmm that would look prety cool. and "eighty9rs" in my mind i just want it to be different. getting other peoples opinion just helps me find more ideas. i'm not that artistic so this thread has helped alot(thanks to all who put input) the orange is going to be metallic and how bright or dark .... not sure yet my wife and i are going to the paint store tomorrow with the painter and looking at paint. personally i'd want a bright orange to accent the black more but my wife wants a darker orange........ i can beat her at arm wrestliing......... we'll see lol
Why not go with red on black? give it that evil look and also there's a guy on here with a white camaro who put kinda like a red led in his headlights so they light up red...it looks really cool. And to stand out more you could put red neons on the bottom. I think that would look sweet
just some progress on the car. looks like the drivers side door was repaired once bondo looks like it all finished. i'm going over there this weekend to work on it some.
well i told him not to worry about getting it done to fast. i'm in no hurry right now. i have a lot to do as far as the engine and trans before summer anyway. he's working on mine and someone els's car right now. so he's kinda spliting his time. probably a couple/few more weeks. hey kinda off topic but when i pulled the heads this weekend there was sludge in the vally and stuck to the tappit covers. is that because the radiator fluid mixed with the oil? anyone have an idea. and should be do anything when i put it back together to prevent any damage? i'm going to change the oil as well. anyway pics coming soon.
i was over there this weekend. swapped the intake and changed the head gaskets. he has the body work like 90% done so i took a couple picks i'll post monday. i think he'll be applying primer by this weekend. i'll post picks and stuff.
just a quick update for anyone interested <- (thats funny) lol anyway, car is still as it was in the last pics i posted. i took some more of my wife and i working on the engine last weekend but nothing new on the body right now. the motor is running great, just screams with the new parts. and my wife was all about getting in there and getting greasy with me .... she rocks lol i'll post that pic soon, nothing better then seeing a woman wrench on a car lol lol. the painter is working on another project thats he's just about wrapped up. he stretched a jeep 3ft in length.... it's actually pretty cool looking. he added a window and everything. this guy is amazing with fiberglass. i'll post pics of the jeep when he's finished. and a little plug for him, if anyone needs spoilers repaired/glassed he can do em. fix the cracks or reconstruct broken off sections. he's fixing my driverside which is missing like half of it lol. i can give anyone his number if needed. anyway this week i think he's focusing on my car. i'll post as progress gets going.
