Kinda hard to clearly make them out GOOD, but they not only appear to be GTA rims, but 87 only GTA rims. Which would also make sense with the center caps having 'birds, rather than the WS6 logos, as on the 88+ wheels.
I will have to get a a better pic, but it is 87 TA and the guy says there is a 350 TPI in it. So I'm not sure if it is a GTA or not I havent been able to look at the car personally only in pics thats why I was asking. Also, what is special about these rims "if" there only 87 gta rims. Thanks for your help!!!
Those wheels were first available on 86 Trans Am's, then used on T/A's all the way through 92 (the GTA being a luxury model of the Trans Am) and also Formula's in 91-92.
So I do not know where they picked up the Slang GTA wheels.
Sorry for the rant, just a personal Pet Peeve.

The gold center wheels were most commonly seen on GTAs, hence "GTA wheels". The domed high tech turbo wheels were the standard T/A (also on '87 Formulas) wheels and the crosslaced wheels were an upgrade until the domed wheels were dropped for the deep dish version found on the '88-92 Formulas. Also, most T/As had either black, silver, or charcoal centers and the GTAs had gold. I've also seen some T/As and GTAs with white and red centered wheels as well.
The early crosslace wheels didn't have the "dimples" at the ends of the spokes, next to the polished lip. After 88, the dimples were introduced.
Here's a pic I took when I was showing my ride height. Notice the "dimples" at the ends of the crosslace. The early wheel were smooth & didn't have those in them.
Also - That does not appear to be a GTA, it seems to have vents in the front fenders, GTAs do not, looks like a TA. Also, if it is an 87 GTA, it will not have a 350 with T-Tops, the 350 motor in 87 was not available with T-tops, unless of course the owner had them installed afterwards.

It's not a 87. It has the front bumper inserts, so it is an older body, or the nose was changed.
TAs could be had without the vents, but GTAs couldn't be had with them.
The sail panels don't have the GTA 'bird emblems, but those kinds of things are easily changed/removed.
But, it doesn't really matter. He was only asking about the wheels anyways.
well the rim ? is taking care of and as for the GTA ? look at the Rpo codes in the console and look for rpo y84. the GTA did not come with diff color G/X there are a lot of TA things on the car like the fenders, the seats, the ground X color. from what i see it not a GTA.
That should answer you question in your 2nd post.
It also looks like they have the fronts on the drivers side of the car, and the rears on the pass. side. The "dish" is different on front/rear "GTA" wheels. Same size wheels..just different offsets.

Asa side note to that...Fronts can be run on the rear, but rears can't be run on the front. Well, they'll bolt up, and the car will roll...STRAIGHT forward and STRAIGHT backwards, just don't try to turn.
I had a body shop screw up putting mine back on years ago. When I tried to leave, I heard the rubbing & stopped. Left the car blocking the driveway, & made them take a floor jack out to the car, and switch them. They weren't very happy about doing it out there, without an air impact, but oh well! If they had done it right to begin with....
I'm currently tuning 4 fronts on my GTA right now, and have 4 fronts stored indoors & collecting dust.

doh' looks like i'll have to return my GTA! the factory screwed this one up!
Base bird and mid TA not to be confused with the Formula wheels
Colors, natural and gold
15x7
91-92 Base crosslace "Knockoff GTA"
Colors, powdercoat gold only
15x7
87-92 "GTA" wheels, found on GTAs and TAs
Note the dimples in the outside perimeter, 87 was the only year to not have these
Colors, gold, black, silver, gray, natural
16x8
The 15X7 crosslace also came in plain old clear coated aluminum. I had a set on my car temporarily.

that cars not a GTA because it has vented fenders and GTA's came with solid fenders, UNLESS someone swapped them out
Fieros use a 4.5" bolt pattern
They do not bolt up to Fbodys
The centercaps are much smaller
Probably doesn't matter to anyone but, the fiero didn't use a 4.5" bolt pattern, nothing GM did actually. Many fwd's used a 5 on 115mm pattern (4.5" is 114.3). Anyway, fiero's used the 5 on 100mm pattern like the cavalier, sunbird, etc.
Sorry, it was bothering me
