This is my car, ive alway debated the color of my car and if I should change the color. Just wanted to hear what others had to say about it. I know it isn't as popular as black or red, just want to know if it's a really un-popular color.
i like it. I was actully going to ask you what that paint code is. And if you rilly want to change the color you should probly change it to a nice blue
So thats the correct name for our paint color, fire red met. Thanks for the info. Im pretty much going to keep the color and put a Sunoco hood on it and have it repainted. I think it will look good to once all the spider cracks in the clear coat and chipped/faded paint is gone and replaced with a fresh new coat. My god, what will I do when I can finally wax the damn thing lol.
I work at a body shop and I looked it up in the book at work. For the paint code wa 9535 the color is fire red metallic. This was also came up on my rpo code as well
I would do something different. I love the color but it's on so many camaros that it's alittle played out. I would go with gunmetal grey (I'm alittle biased towards it) or a Deep midnight blue. i think that would be nice.

Nice looking car! Are those IROC rims the original colour? They look a bit darker than stock to me...
No, the color of the rims were gold at first, I tried to match the standard color of most gray IROC rims but I was off and sprayed on a darker gray on. Still turned out good IMO.
That's the original color on my 89 RS. While I think it's fairly pretty when in new condition, I have to agree with the earlier poster who said it's kinda played out. It seems to be pretty common, although probably not as common as the "slap you in the face" solid red, or "bright red". I really want to go with the 91-92 "ultra-metallic blue" on mine when I get around to re-painting it. My only reservation is how much of a PITA it's gonna be to get rid of all the red in the engine comparment!

You don't see too many maro's in a dark red. My car was dark red until I painted it and now the wife wants me to paint it back to the original colour..............

i like that color, i was going to buy one that color, but i bought a different one. my car is purple haze color (or Hawaian orchid). it's a rare color, as far as i know, and it looks really cool IMHO.
It is a very nice color and very nice looking car.
I personally prefer the blues over the reds, but that is just personal preferences.
Remember, no matter what color you paint a car, there will always be someone that loves it, and always someone that hates it. The important thing is that you like it.
