Haha, i don't know where you come from, but for im only 17 with a mildly built camaro that eats up most other cars around here, chicks like to brag that they ridden in the camaro. and they like cruizing in it and the way it sound when i stomp it. the t-tops help (<-- thought i should tried and KINDA stay on the subject)
and like someone said above, its about your game, and how you drive the 3rdgen haha
Oh and about the pink trans am, lol, i would be hilarious but incedibly...... how would you put this,......feminine, but funny at the same time
feminine maybe? but how incredibly horrible would it be to get beat by a pink daily driven car? lmao.. doubt i would do it.. but the shame would be in the person whom just thought because the car was pink it was just for looks...ect
I've owned both hard tops and t-top cars, and spent all this summer with a convertable.
I like my t-tops. After spending a good amount of $ and time /effort installing new GM seals and adjusting the windows and t-tops themselves I get ZERO leaks or windnoise.
The convertible is fun for crusing around but looks goofy with the top up. I'd never go looking for one to buy. The 91-92 are probably the best cars.. of any roof version. The extra effort put into construction of the body is noticeable. The convertible I've been driving is a 91 and feels more solid than my 88 t-top car.

Where did you get the seals from? I thought GM discontinued them.
I've owned convertibles, T-tops and hardtops and it all depends on what you use the car for IMO.
I had an '88 Mustang ragtop, and it was a nice car but I got sick of hearing the constant wind noise, rattles and flapping canvas. I also thought it looked ugly with the top up.
My T-top cars were both fourthgens (a '99 Camaro and a '99 Trans Am). The T-tops were well engineered on those cars and never leaked once. With a well-engineered T-top, you get the quietness and comfort of a hardtop with the option of sun on your face if you want it. T-tops are far preferable to a convertible, in my opinion. If I were buying another fourthgen I would definitely want T-tops.
For a factory quasi-racecar like the 1LE I have now, I think the solid roof adds to the "all-business" attitude of the car. If I had a loaded IROC for cruising, I would probably want T-tops. Like I said, it's all about what you use the car for!
