Okay, when I bought this car almost a year ago the guy told me he just replaced all 4 headlights but that there was still a problem with the brights. Whenever the brights are on for 5 minutes or more they start to flicker and then shut off altogether. After doing this twice it has started to affect my low beams as well. After driving for about half an hour so my low beams start to flicker. Any idea what could be causing this? I can't figure it out.
I don't believe you are posting in the right thread, did you do a search on the tech/general engine or electronics forums? I have heard of this problem before. Don't know the answer but try searching if you have not already.

Search under Tech/General engine-"flickering headlights". I see you are new to this site, hope that helps.

Sounds like the old wiring isn't capable of handling the load of the lights. I'd get a relay, connect the lights wire into the relay, and make new headlight wiring harness with larger (smaller guage) wires from the relay to the lights - that way the lights are getting juice straight from the battery when the relay is activated by the switch, and getting juice through more capable wiring.
No I still haven't figured this out. I'm going to look more into the harness from Summit, looks promising. I finally got the car back on the road again after 3 months so now I need to get back to work on those lights.
