Chrome Chevy Bowtie Decal

When I had my 92 RS years ago.. I was able to purchase a chrome chevy bowtie decal from any parts store for like 5 dollars. Now I cannot find them anywhere. I want one for my 87 IROC to put on the rear window. I can't even find it on ebay. Does anyone have any idea or can possibly lead me in the right direction for a site online that sells these?

I think the good taste police confiscated them all. You might want to check the police auction.

Re: Chrome Chevy Bowtie Decal

Any decent sign shop can cut you one, to whatever size you want, out of chrome vinyl.

I do all our local club decals that way, but with colored vinyl. Those would be easy to make.

Wouldn't there be copyright issues since it is a GM product/logo?

That would be correct, but you still see them at swap meets all the time.
IIR, Autozone had them when I was in there last week.

I just checked autozone again in a different city here in Georgia and they had nothing. I even stopped by Summit Racing hoping they would have it and they don't. I will be going to Alabama today so I will check the stores there.

Re: Chrome Chevy Bowtie Decal

Thanks for the links. The first one is too small. The 2nd is too big but aware that I can get a custom size...However diamond cut looks like crap. The third is not my taste lol. I will keep looking. Thanks again.

Well I checked the AutoZone and Advanced Auto parts in Alabama while visiting a friend and they don't have it either.

Re: Chrome Chevy Bowtie Decal

Well I was finally able to get one. A forum member was nice enough to make one for me. I think it went well with the car. Not too little and not too big. Here is a pic!

Re: Chrome Chevy Bowtie Decal

a bit too small for my taste, mines is 36" wide, plus if the rear window was tinted it would show off more, still you have to love that bow tie
