Thanks Bro,
I can make you a set, but then your only choice for HID is a D1S specific system.Which are for the majority OEM systems & a little pricier than aftermarket HIDs.I havent been able to locate a decent projector that will fit the 4656 style lamps & that uses a aftermarket type(non D1s/D2s) HID lamp. This would make it easier & cheaper to make a retrofit kit.Im trying though!
Thats a lot of work into your tail lights after looking at them they kinda reminded me of the newer trans am tailights which they have that honey comb look into it but yours a way better idea.
Tony.

Ive been receiving several offers to build a set of these. So for those of you interested in having me do a retrofit. The Xenarc kit(HID) from sylvania is pretty expensive, if you can find one. There about $500!
Just to do the labor on the retrofit i would charge around $100.
Then you still need the headlamps, projectors & some misc stuff. That would run you a little under $100 as well.
Im working on trying to find a cheaper HID kit that can be used with projectors & fit the headlamps, plus be easy to install on a camaro.Hopefully i can get something together in the near future.
if you can get a complete kit with projectors and hids for 250 id be sold ( im thinking the 30 dollar HID* they been saying goo things about them in the other tread*)

Thats why i posted that. Was looking for some feedback on DDM.

Thanks Tony, but i think its a little too soon for that. Not even sure i wanna make a small business out of this.Great offer though.
We'll see!Have no idea on the price, since the projector is the one item that varies much in price.
As for the chrome.Thats silver chrome on my lights. So its not gonna get any more chrome than that & i doubt people wanna pay for chrome plating.Plus there's not alot of profit in retrofitting projectors.
I like the way the outter lights look, flows with the black paint. Is it possible to do the inner lights? Kind of looks mismatched. Still extremely neat, something I might have to try one day. I hate my original headlights.

I remeber seeing a picture here on the board about wat I said about taking the high beam lights off and leaving the hole for the intake or so just cant remeber under what search was it.
Not doing the hi beams. Not for looks or HIDs, waste of time/money.Besides the way it is makes the projectors stand out more!
In you sig pic, your inners look like good bulbs, but the outers look like they are blown out & dead. (i forget which is high, which is low. but i thought the inners were the highs, IIRC)

Yeah the outer beams are for street driving "low" and the inners are for the high beams.

That pic was taken after the projector mod.So the outer lights are projectors, inners are the xenarc units(H9)
R u still makin these for people? If so I may be interested

I've PM'ed you about them if you do get started on making some I'd like a set also. I've seen a bunch of Acura TSX projectors on ebay for a reasonable price. I think they are the right size for the retrofit. The hid kits for those are a little harder to find also.

I totally agree. The projectors look awesome, but I would at least use the ebay cheapies for the hi beams just for symetry.
Its not really about symmetry or looks. If you want worse performance. Then i suppose you could get those lamps. The Xenarc housings are better though, but not much use.
Great work on the mod, but what about for a 'bird? I know you can get the ebay lights, but is there a way to keep your highs and lows all in the one light? I know that the highs aren't really needed, but it's about legality for me. Do you think that there would be enough room behind the lights for the bulbs?

What you would need is a bi-xenon projector.
How those work is, there is a shield that covers part of the bulb when in 'low' and then when you go to high, the shield is moved out of the way allowing all the light into the projector bowl.
the only problem would be the size of the projector, there might not be enough room for it.
check out HIDPlanet and see if anyone there has done this already.

Funny you should ask.I was talking to someone about this just yesterday.Yes, keeping the hi/lo is not an issue.I know which projectors will work with what HID kit.So both the hi/lo remain functional. Its just a matter of getting a hold of a FB headlamp assembly. So i can mock something up for fitment, but it'll be a while.
Im currently building some of these same projector set-ups for a couple camaro owners. After i finish with these, then ill see what i can do about you firebird owners.
Im about to make a set of my own. Already got a set of projectors out of an 07-09 saturn outlook. From the looks and test fitting so far, they look like theyll work great. Ordered a HID set from DDMtuning yesterday and the ebay housings today. Ill add some pics when I get started.
No really sure. They have the cut off shield for low beams. They measure 6.5" from tip of glass to back of bulb connector, and 3" diameter. I got the full headlight assemblies off ebay from the same seller. Paid $5 each plus $18 shipping.
Ive got the shrouds from the original headlights, but I dunno if its gonna be worth it to try and make them work in the ebay housing. I might just use some thin sheet to cover the holes between the bulb and the projector to keep the light from going all over the place. And youre right, its gonna be tight, but it looks like it will just fit.
