Re: hockey stick stripes

I like the idea of Hockey Stripes, but not the way that curve doesn't match the angle of the nose. Just kinda makes it obvious it wasn't made for THAT car.

Do it with an angled front not the curve, or at least the stick going more forward not STRAIGHT down, and I think I'd like it better.

Re: hockey stick stripes

I agree with stephen, i like the look, and by what you said they served the purpose of seeing how they looked. If you match them to the flow of the front better and taper them back further i think they would look awesome. Those look good but us guys on TGO like to butcher cars and nitpick. There is a guy on here with a yellow Z with black hockey stripes, not sure whose car but his car looks damn good. i think his are painted on also.

on a side note, i love the color of your car, is that stock medium blue metallic or whatever its called?

Re: hockey stick stripes

I like the idea that a couple people had with running the stripe with the body line up to the front. That would match the "rake" of the third gen... Try that and post a pic

I like how they look, but only with the right colors, wheels, and stance. The only other car i've seen it from THIRD GEN 92. And I agree with the last couple posts. The stripe needs to go more with the shape of the frontend.

Yes, actually I was thinking of Sinister's also but when I went and searched for the black car I posted, it made me forget to mention Sinister's also. Someone did in a previous post anyway.

Pretty clear view of it at 0:39......If the headlight buckets weren't black & the stripe continued all the way across, that would look good, IMO. But the way it starts at the buckets, goes up, back, down, then back again....

Sorry, but half the cars in that video look tacky. Like the 4th gen with the white back window, stripes on the window & the Bowtie on it..... uke:

Re: hockey stick stripes

Here is a horrible attempt at moving the stipe forward and having it angle more to the lines of the car. Probably could have done a better job, or even angle it even better than that but I don't have the time. Also, at the bottom by the chin...just have it regular size instead of start off so thick. Also, don't worry about the door and part of the fender...that you already know what it's going to look like. Didn't feel like trying to fix it.

FYI...Nikko (sinister) had his stripes custom made. They exend down the car further than most stripes do.

now those are good stripes. i dont like the hockey ones but you have to agree that they are well installed, and the car is very good looking.

if that was a finalized design i believe it would look great.

Agreed, working on one of those for my car right now. Just not sure what text to put in the back. Not worthy of it saying Yenko yet!

I don't like how that looks. I think it would have looked better if the stripes were black.
Did you take a picture of that silver car with blue wheels?

If you can, post up the other 3rdgens you've spotted at your shows in one of your cars and babes threads. I'd like to see that bird and how they pulled off those blue wheels(I don't see how from the pic).

Not bad looking. Love the color. I had a 92 RS teal while in college, except it was a v6. That car is sharp!

i like the stripe idea, however i would put something on the hood also. but keep it classy. like sinister complimented his with his cowl accent.
