Got real tired of the total black out look in my camaro so I decided to pull the motor out and start on the restoration. My engine compartment was originally white so I wanted to go back to it for a long time. after I completed the painting, I then decided to do the underside of the car to. Here are some pics of it. After all the crap was stripped off the floors , they are finally prepped and ready for painting.

The floors after many hours of cleaning
finally the rear end it done also. About 4 hours of wheeling on this one. I have some touch up to do but this new product called KBS is great. Its like POR-15 but comes in colors.
Hey man the engine compartment/rest of the car is looking great!! I've always really liked your car and its my goal to eventually have the paint/body work look that clean and nice looking on my car. Good luck on finishing it up
looks good, lots of cleaning involved I bet... under hood looks great. (make sure you put a grommet on the hole where the red wire is running through)
Yea about a weeks worth of cleaning just to get the floors ready for painting. My arms are still sore but its going to be worth it. Yea my grommet was nasty, try to find another one.
Well I finally got the underside of the car done. It was more work than I thought it was going to be. I now have the piece of mind that the underside of my car will never rust.
I sanded all the rust down then put that navel gel on the rusty spots let it sit for like an hour then cleaned it with water then cleaned it again with brake cleaner. THen I sprayed that rust tough stuff on it stops rust surposedly I think I got most of it. Should I be in the clear?
I still have a big streak to sand and paint but I got the vast none rusty area covered
"I am going crazy with this car, I plan to make it a daily driver, yet a show car."
For those of you unfamiliar with the english language, the phrase: "daily driver" really means...I am going try to qualify on the Nextel Cup - NASCAR cirucuit.
