I think that the body kit for the F-body looks great. I think they could have come up with a better way to attach the rear wing so that access to trunk? is better. Not a slam, or anything because the car looks really good. I think it would be a great way to have something exotic and retain good old American muscle underneath. All it needs is a blown LS1 and IRS.

That car is freaking sweet...... think of it like this.... each one of those coversions is saving a rusted trailer thirdgens life.... that gray car is not rice at all... they look like straight up ferraris or lotuses.... cars that we cant afford..... buying that kit would be sweet as hell..... if you did that kit right and had something like a supercharged 350 in it, youd be hard pressed to find someone that thought it was gay that actually saw it in person/and or took a spin in it.

first of all i think we all love the look of our thirdgens. What do you call a major modifcation Mr Purist. 5k for an engine umpteen hundereds for the intall...but i hada v6....so....it's still major.....

i love my camaro i want a later body style but i don't want a supra. i'm thinking about buying a 92...not to transform to modify.

At the same time i like to see different things so i may try to do this project on a naked t-top car...it ain't in the crusher right....why not....you can always go back....

You guys keep talking about a supercharged 350. Ha, what a joke. What you need is a screaming V-6. Putting in a GN or TTA drivetrain will fit with the body better and is much faster than any 350 that is streetable.

those body kits are major modifications b/c you can't even tell it is a 3rd gen under there. Basically for all intents and puposes it is not even a F-body anymore. I will have to admit the look kind a cool, I just really hate the interiors(gaudy). What some company should do is try to create body parts for our cars but still be able to tell it is a Camaro or Firebird, something like the Sport Apperance package that you can get of the 4th gens. Some kind of new spoiler would be nice to...I like to see if some one could come up with a 01 SS spoiler that looked good on a 3rd gen, you know like the TA spoiler that is avalable to the 3rd gen Firebirds.

I agree, there should be more decent body kits for our cars. The few that are on the market are fugly. The factory Z28 GFX are so much better looking than whats available. The K-1 looks great, but a little radical. Once you got tired of driving such an exotic looking car you would be stuck with it. Such a dramatic change to the car's body would be irreversible.

The K1 kit looks awesome in that pic, but I've seen a pic of one that someone took at a car show. The fit and finish of the kit was awful. Uneven gaps, panels not straight, etc... It might just be that the guy who put that one together had no idea what he was doing. Either that or the kit sucks and the ones that look nice have hundreds of hours of work in them to look good.

If you rebody your car to look like that, you better have the drivetrain to back it up!

Ppl on here have been saying that the definition of rice is making a car look faster than it actually is. So what does that make a car with this body kit? I've seen thess kind of body kits for honda's and the like, so whats the difference doing it to an F-Body. That body kit could have been made up to fit any car, but the 3rd gen fbody was an obvious choice because they have been made from 82 till 92. Ten years of 3rd Gen cars. There has to be over a couple of million out there. So even if .5 % of ppl who own a 3rd Gen buy one, thats still gotta be a lot of sales!

2 true. but then again adding ground effects makes most cars look meaner even faster but it ain't considered rice...i like the kit cause it's different...and with this kit as well any project-sure you can do it in a minimum amount of time but that ain't sayin it will look as good as the 9mo job sitting next to your with the same thing.

edit-some one mentioned the wing design.....it folds to open the hatch. for some extra change you can get the optional automatic system which moves the wing with no assist, when the hatch is popped.

To all the jack a$$es out their that say stuff like i bought my camaro becuase it is the sweetest looking car ever... well thats great.... notice how that kit doesnt have any camaro or chevy badgings on it.... geez i wonder why.... its not really a camaro at all anymore! Basically you get a bad @$$ suspension and engine that the aftermarket has a firm foothold on, and the looks of a killer ferrari!

Does anybody have pics of the car with the t-tops on it? I was wondering how it would look with the t-tops on it. Also, I love this kit...but I do not care for the tail lights...and I dont like how the exhaust exits from the middle. I think they should remodel the tail lights...and do something about the exhaust exit. Otherwise the car looks great to me.

I still don't particularly care for it. Its not "*****", it just reminds me of Mistubishi and not a Chevy/Pontiac. If youwere to get it, get it put on right so at least it doesn't look cheap.
