Halo's are a bit large, only thing I don't like. The headlight size looks fine just not the size of those Halo's, otherwise great work and everything else looks great as far as stock appearance, fitment and originality.

That came out great! congrats! Just be sure to reinforce the cutout in the radiator support :-)

Now that I've seen it let me add my final
That structure is VERY important to the overall strength of the
entire front end. Were it me, I would look to fab some kind of brace
to bolt-on over the headlight structure.
Very easy insurance.
This kinda makes me regret that I have the bird pop-up's.
Your car convinced me to ditch my fog lights... Just wanted you to know that...
Now you just need some of those fancy parking lights off ebay. They'd look amazing with those headlights.
I personally like the stock style headlights a lot... but I guess I'm in the minority. However I do like your idea. Looks awesome and definitely looks way better than I expected it to. Great idea!

I think it looks awesome man. Great job indeed. At least people can know that it can be done, and be done well. Again great work, looks awesome!

Amazing, simply amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I've been planning to get new headlights, but this might be the only way to go! I simply love it. Only thing I will say is the left side of your hood seems to stick up a bit, maybe it's just the pictures, kinda disappointing... but still not bad at all.
I must say I light the BMW headlight conversion better then the silverado headlight conversion seems to fill in a quite a bit better but the one I like most is the lights on the camaro in the sig of pwdbychevy
This past weekend i made some covers for the headlights. Now you cant see the cuts i made in the front rad support. It also keeps my lights bolted to the car. Looks really Clean and factory! I will post some pictures later this week.
The hood does stick up a little but nothing i would worry about. You wouldnt notice till i told you were to look. This mod does take some "Balls" to do. You have to measure 4 times and cut once. I had a great friend help me out on this. I gave him a nickname "Foose" hahah. The headlights have adjustments on them already. REALLY easy to adjust. I havent adjusted them the way it suppose to be but it works and im not blinding anyone.
PM me if you have any questions.
PS. I took a shot in the dark with this headlight mod. Looks like i hit the target straight on
ok fine... i have comments... but before i S**T on your parade..
I looks GREAT, I really do like it...
now, ARE YOU F**KIN NUTS? these are UNIBODY cars! that piece of core support you cut out is VERY important to structure!! now that you have cut that corner out, you have made that core support USELSS! your frame rails are now MUCH more suceptible to twisting as well! and if you dont believe me i can show you the damage on my 85 from not having the triagular braces installed, not only did my driver side frame rail crack, but it tore all the spot welds around the puttom of the strut tower off! you MUST get something in there to brace that core support, GM did not make it a boxed structure just to get rid of some extra steel! and on top of that, if you're ever in a colision you;re going to suffer WAY more damage than many others!

thanks for your input but I will cross that bridge when I get to it! I didn't cut all the metal out! There is still support. Plus it's been 2months of intense driving, drag racing, pot holes, speed bumps. Car seems fine and working order plus it's not my daily driver . Thanks for your concern! I will try to make it even stronger
id agree with the other member that suggested bolt on plates, id do that at the minimum, everything will look just fine, then one day all of a sudden you'll notice a popping sound when you turn the wheel, i went out and looked and my spot welds all broke and the frame rail cracked. but it does look good, if you brace it up properly i think it will be a good mod, AND RUST GUARD IT!
Looks great man, how long did it take you, and what is the extent of the mods needed?

I dont know...maybe its just me....but your passenger side sems to be riding a bit high where it meets the fender. The mod looks great and goodjob and making it happne. Its nothing im going to be doing to mine anytime soon. Looks good...its just not for me.
Awesome work, these headlights look awesome. It gives your car such a mean look to it. It would be very intimidating if i saw it in my rearveiw mirror.

I have an idea not sure if it would make a difference, but what if u cut the whole end, move it the inch or 2 u need to get the headlights to fit weld it back on and put a small piece of metal on the back side of the core support on the top and bottom of each side for strength. It would be a little more time consuming because u would have to take the core support out to cut it unless u have a core support laying around the garage.
well that would conflict with the battery as well as mavy other components alignment
ahh yea that's true it was a good thought though. Although you could relocate the battery the the rear or do some mods I did say it would be time consuming. If there is a will there is a way maybe I'll mess around with that whenever I am able to work on mine I have a spare in my dad's garage that I could prob do the cuts to at some point I would just need the measurements of how far to move it back.
I like the look, but how is the performance.
Got a pic of both projector beams(on the road)?
Hows the cut off look(on a wall)?
Id only do that much cutting if the lighting out performed the looks & i would brace the core support.
Nice work though.
more aerodynamic than the std. 4x6's. performs--per square inch, more light, likely less watt consumption, and the coolness factor is there!! WONDER what they would look like in the black headlight pockets for the 90+ models. Someone should photochop it. kicka$$
I must admit that I really like the way these look. I didn't at first but the more I looked at the pictures the more I think that I want to do it. I do agree with the importance of this structural part of the car so I will at least try to do my best to do it without actually cutting anything out. If I find that I can't then I'll make a brace to around and over the cut part of it and weld it in.
Can you take close up pics of the area that you cut out? And perhaps a shot to see how much the headlight assemblies don't clear the top of the part that you cut.
